Craftsman 1/2 HP Garage Door opener problem

I have a Craftsman 1/2 HP Garage Door opener. Both the remotes and wireless key pad stopped working at the same time. I replaced all the batteries with no luck. I also unplugged it overnight but still no luck. Wired wall control still operates the door correctly. Also, the door sensors used to activate the lights on the unit when I walked in and out of the door, but no longer do so. Can this be fixed or is it time for a new one. Frustrated b/c its only 4 years old!

The remote and the keypad work through a signal sent to the receiver while the wall console, as you said it's wired directly to the opener, so it's likely that the receiver is shot. I'd try reprogramming the remote to just rule out the chance that all code wasn't erased first. (Press the learn button on the back of the operator head, stand back 5 feet and within 30 seconds slowly press the remote button a few times to see if it operates the opener). If this doesn't work, you can install an external LiftMaster universal receiver with the correct frequency and you should be good.
If there's a purple antenna hanging off the head, this is a 315 freq, use a 356LM, if black it's a 390 freq, use a 635LM receiver.
Then you'll have to reprogram your remote and keypad to the receiver.
Since there's also the issue with the light, there's also a possibility the circuit board got fried. Did you have any storms lately?

If your sysem has any type of standby battery replace it if you haven't. They are only really good for threeto four years at most.

Good Morning My name is Raj. I have a CRAFTSMAN Garage Door Opener 1/2 HP, model# 139.53635SRA (OR) T as the last letter. Issues: I cannot CLOSE Garage Door either with remotes or with key pad by...

If the main light flashes 10 times when the door reverses to the open position it is your door sensors. Make sure the small light on each one is lit and not flickering. Tweak them a little. If you cannot get both lights to come on you have bad sensors.

I have a Craftsman 139.48847 1/2 Hp garage door opener. I can get either the remotes to or the keyless entry pad to work but not at the same time, Any suggestions?

If you have more than one remote and they all work but when you try to program the keypad it causes the remotes to quit working then your keypad is bad.

I have a 1/2 hp craftsman opener. Remotes work fine. Wired wall unit has a blinking light on the open button and will not work Lock pad and light pad work but not the operate pad.????

Try pressing and holding the lock button for 3 seconds to stop the light from blinking. Your wall control may be bad. Usually when that light is blinking it is the remotes that will not work.

Garage door won't open.

The most common cause of this problem is the door sensors have been bumped and misaligned. They each have a small light that should be lit and not flickering. Tweak them until they are pointed at one another and the lights are lit.

I have a craftsman garage door opener (1/2 hp) won't close proper

Check your door sensors. They have probably been bumped. Tweak them until they are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not blinking.
