I think you should be reset your DVR to default, check your modem port. Finally, you can upgrade firmware.

Hi im able to connect to my dvr via my iphone on the Hik connect software, but as soon as i disconnect from LAN it does not give live feed

If it's a network connected DVR they require an input signal to give you a live feed and to remain connected to your router. You may also want to look into your router settings and into your connected devices. There you would look up that DVR either by its name or the mac address. I strongly suggest you give it a static IP address.

How to find dvr ip address

Hi,
what do you want the DVRs local IP address on your LAN or your internets public IP address?

to see the local IP that the DVR is on, check the menu's in the DVR as if configured properly you should have it set up as a static IP on your LAN...

if you can not find it there, you should be able to log into your router and view connected devices... some routers are better than others, but you will probably only be able to see devices that are connected and assigned an IP address from your routers DHCP table..

if you want your public internet IP address then go to http://cmyip.com but in order to view your DVR from a different location on the internet you will need to set up port forwarding on your router - the DVR manual should show what ports need to be forwarded...

you may also want to consider using a dynamic DNS service if you do not have a static IP from your internet provider... most DVRs that I have encountered provide a dynamic DNS service..

Thanks,

I cannot access my internet viewer

More details are required.
The Samsung 'SmartViewer' program starts up on a computer. You can access it whether you have a recorder or not.
The Samsung 4 channel DVR has a menu to set IP address & ports to use and a netjack to connect to internet. You can access the DVR from any computer connected to the same router as the DVR by inserting the same correct info into 'SmartViewer' as in the the DVR.
Once you open the required ports in your router, port forward the router to the DVR, any incoming requests from the internet to view should connect and with the correct password you can view your security cams.
With minor adjustments..that's it.
What didn't you do?

Hi, I have a home network set up, desktop, laptop, iphone and ipad, I also have a cctv dvr on the network, the dvr is definatly on the network as I can veiw it on any of my devices, yet it is not listed in...

you will have to allow the devices in the router wirless or direct connectivity setup in the router it self. If the router does not have permission to connect the device they will not be allowed to connect.
log in to the router and set up each device accordingly.

I have a sentient 4 channel cctv DVR with networking. It works ok locally but, I am having problems setting it up to view via the internet. I have a wireless router with a static IP address. I have tried...

have same unit colin and was a nightmare to sort but finally did it.
you need to set up port forwarding on your router and set up dydns account and switch on the service on your dvr. enter details on dydns page on dvr.
if you cannot log in via web address provided by dydns try entering your ip add with port your forwarding like this 89.79.89.87:9950

hope this helps

Not able to use remote viewing via no-ip

I had the same exact issue. I was using dyndns to connect, but i found out that when you login in the host, dont put your local ip address of the dvr, but instead put the internet ip address of your network. so instead of 192.168.0.5 for your local put the 89.137.24.124 for the internet address. That fixed my issue. Hope that works for you. Just make sure your username and password is right and the port is set up correct in your router to forward to the local ip of the dvr.

Thomson TG 585 v7 Wireless Problem

HI
The following info. might help you fixing the above problem:

For WIRELESS CONNECTION follow these Steps:
(Note: Keep the Ethernet cable plugged in unless we set up
WIRELESS)
1: Click on Home Network
2: Wlan
Click on Configure which is the 3rd last icon on the Top
Make sure that the option-Interface Enabled is ticked.
Channel selection should be ob Manuall.
Wireless channel can be 11( thats what is in my case).
Encryption is again depending on what type of sercurity you wants. I would suggest go for WPA.
After editing the above info. do not fail to note the KEY before clicking Apply
Now just enable the WIRELESS CONNECTION on your PC /
Laptop,
Pull the SSID of your router and Click connect.
It will ask for the WEP/WPA key?
Enter the key and Click connect.
