well if the actual cord has a removable cap on it unscrew the cap and look under it for the same colored wires.. match her pin socket with the cord connector..unless its a molded wire end....you can do this also..the black may go to the center pin.. the white may go to the ground ...these may need soldered on..
My friend ... you are doing a simple repair ... you don't need a wiring schematic to replace this power cord. When you get the unit open ... you will find the other end of the ripped cord ... black goes to black, white goes to white green goes to green or ground. In fact ... you will trim the end of the cord and reattach it using either crimp connectors or wire nuts.
Usually it's an lcd burn out where the screen needs replacement. Check the display button if it's just blank then press it to see if it comes on. As far as your friends white screen it not feasible to repair. A good thing to get on any digital equipment is an extended warranty. It does save you in the end when something goes wrong. The limited manufacture warranties are a joke. You should never rely on them.
k..
since your in tight budget for service centers... try this do it yourself...
if you can open your phone, check its flex connector if it is still properly connected. press them or try taking them off and put it back..then try it again...
