Charging problems My rizr won't charge properly. When I plug the charger in, it flashes "charging battery" and the green charging symbol on the top left lights up. I tried to charge it overnight, but the battery meter was still at zero after I woke up. After saying that its charging, the green charging symbol turns off and the screen turns white. Then it repeats the whole process of flashing "charging battery." Things I've done recently: Set up a new bluetooth headset with the phone Switched chargers with my dad (he has the same phone as me)

Same thing as the other guy. I plug in the charger and the green light comes on, says it's charging, and then turns back off. I did notice it charges about 5 seconds longer if I plug the cable in only partway. That could be nothing though.

Have you tried your dads battery in your phone it sounds like the battery is dead if your charger works on your dads phone then you know it not the charger the chances are it is the battery it would only be the phone if it has been dropped or got wet if this hasnt happened then the problem is the battery if your dads battery is the same then try charging his batt through your phone that way you would know if it was phone or battery.

If you take the phone into any phone shop they will test the phone and battery for free for you they can try the battery and also try a new battery in your phone and they will tell you if it is phone or battery but from my experiance it is going to be the battery let me know how you get on ok

Red light flashing on charger

A red light indicates the charger is charging the battery, an amber light means it has switched from fast rate charging to trickle to keep the battery topped off, and green would mean the battery is completely charged. But don't be fooled waiting for green, many times the charger will only be on green for a moment before changing to amber and keeping the battery topped off.

Flashing can be a sign of a problem on some chargers.

A rapid flashing red can on some chargers indicate a bad or shorted battery, or a bad battery contact in the charger itself. If in question, try a different battery on the charger or compare with another charger to determine if the blinking is normal.

Best regards.

Dell inspiron M5030 won't charge, green light is

This is a common problem. It may be that the charger is dammaged. these Dell chargers have a micro thin communication cable in them that tell the charger to charge the battery. this micro thin cable can often break. Its use it to prevent the laptop battery from over charging, but if it breaks or becomed broken inside tha charger cable, then the laptop simply won't get the charge signal and the battery won't charge. If this is the case, then you will need to replace the charger with another Dell charger compatible with your laptop

My Tomtom 300 Go won't charge?

It appears that the battery will not hold a (good) charge anymore. If it is still under warranty, contact TomTom to address that problem. They may replace the unit for you.
It is not unusual for (rechargeable) batteries to loose it's capability to hold a good charge if it is plugged in (to a power source) all the time, even while it is not in use.

My vivitar x345 wont hold charge

If the recharageable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and graduallythe charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The batteryshows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops offto zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptablecharge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Red and green flashing lights on 18v lxt charger

Batteries don't always look degraded but if they've been in use for a while or have a bad cell, they will show up bad on the charger and it won't charge them. The only way to test the batteries is to try to charge them on another charger. If the batteries show defective on another charger, they are bad and you'll have to replace them. Also try to charge some batteries you know to be good on your charger to see if it's the problem. If your batteries charge on another charger, your current charger is bad and they don't have any replaceable parts in them so you'd be looking at replacing it.

Nyko charger won't charge

Had same problem with blinking lights and not charging.
Plug charger base in (blinking lights), remove controllers, and plug USB cable into front charge slot (behind hinged panel). This reset charger base and lights stopped blinking. As FYI - the USB was connected to other device (charging it). Add the controllers and correct charging lights show up - including the controller 1 and 2 symbols. Controllers now charging.

My battery for canon camera 550d flashes orange when charging, its been 4 hours now and it hasnt turned green yet.. I am charging it first time.. is this normal

Okay what happens sometimes is the charger gets into a feed back loop. What to do is remove the battery unplug the charger wait a few seconds (Maybe 20/30) plug the charger back into the outlet and then put the battery back in the charger. It should start to charge again and a few minutes later go to the blinking for full charge green.

It'll happen the other way as well meaning if the battery gets a memory (they say they don't but they do) you need to unplug the battery let is sit till it's cool and put it back on charge again. I've had this problem many times and have put it on charge and back off several times with in 15 minutes before it started to charge as it should.

Also these batteries do have a life span and if it's a three year old battery with many charges it could be failing meaning it just won't take a full charge.

Batteries don't charge. I have a new battery, and neither of the old or new batteries work in the charger. I get flashing lights only, sometimes red, sometimes green, but in the end, the battery isn't...

Dust getting in the charger is a problem, Try blowing it out with a moisture-free dust remover, found at most any store. Green flashing means improper power, due to dust or power from the outlet, try a differant wall outlet. Red flashing means the charger or battery is to hot and must cool down before it will charge. The charger will not charge a battery if the lights are flashing. Solid Red light means it is charging and solid green light means it is charged. Plug the charger in first before putting the battery on the charger. If the charger has been droped or hit the floor the coil inside could have broke loose and dammaged the charger requiring it to be replaced.

Battery charging problem

Seems like it may be your wall charger.
I would inspect your connectors (both charger & phone) as well though (for dirt or debris).
I would also suggest using Motorola's wall chargers, the products seem to charge best with them rather than the after-market knock-offs which also seem to damage the phones connectors on some models.
