Good Morning: Can you tell me how to use the battery with the charger and the plug to at the same time to work my swivel sweeper ins instead of buying a battery

Page 6 and 7 of the manual. The cleaning tool is funny, as it is actually a 'Quik Unpik', stitch ripper used in dress making and sewing. You lift the top cover off the brushes to clean.

Swivel sweeper brushes slow with full charge even after cleaning brushes

When you say you cleaned out brush's are you talking about the build up between the bristles? I've found that I have to take the roller completely off and use fine needle nose tweezers to actually get all the stray hairs and caked on dirt as it hides close to the inside of the brush rollers. It's a bit more work to do this but I think you might benefit from this extra step!
Good Luck!!!

The brush on the our progressive conister stops and starts. We have replaced the belt cleaned out all areas near the belt and it still starts and stops as if it is skipping of getting stuck on somthing.

Check the brush end bearings for debris build-up and sticking bearings--remove the brush assembly, and pull off the bearing blocks. Clean the pin ends on the brush and the interiors of the bearing blocks with Q-tips, then lightly oil (3-in-one or similar) the bearing blocks and pin ends. Reassemble the brush into the sweeper head without the belt on--check for free turning of the brush. If ok, install the belt, and check for operation. Hope this helps!

The carpet sweeper on my electrolux stopped working....used it for a little bit and then it just stopped

Make sure the brush is cleared and clean, press the reset button, and try again.
If the motor runs, but the brush doesn't turn, it's likely due to a broken belt. Have it replaced by someone who knows what they're doing.
I strongly recommend taking it into an authorized shop.

Vacuum wont spin when on carpet but will spin if tilted off the carpet

Remove the bottom plate of the sweeper. Remove the sweeper brush roller and clean the end bearings of debris. Oil the bearings lightly with 3-1 oil or similar machine oil. Clean the motor shaft with alcohol as well as the brush drive area, and the inside of the drive belt. Test on a carpet for improvement--if still stopping, replace the rubber drive belt. Hope this helps!

The brush on my bissell prolite multicyclonic vacuum won't turn. It seems like it is jammed, but I checked for anything that might be stuck in it and don't see anything. Is there a reset button?

I had the same problem with my old Bissell sweeper ( I bought a new rotating brush each time this happened then I bought a new sweeper the next time it happened -last Dec. 2009.) Unfortumately I bought a new Bissell and now it is happening again to the new sweeper. I do clean the brush often but what has happened is that the hair somehow gets inside the brush via the end caps???This sweeper does have end caps that can be removed for cleaning --although not that easily when they are locked up. I did this yesterday but before I could remove the end cap I had to use a pin, scissors, etc. anything that I could get into the groove to remove lint, etc. that caused it to lock up. Then when I got the end cap to move a little, I pried it off. I found hair, etc. inside where the metal rod is which I don't think should be happening --I used a seam ripper also to try to get some out. I have owned many different brands of sweepers and have never seen this problem before. Then, I put the end cap back on, however, it was not smooth on the inside--almost like it had melted when it locked up. So, the sweeper brush now moves but it is noisy. I guess I will buy another brush -- but this seems ridiculous for a new sweeper--the customer service rep told me that the brush does wear out.... but not on a sweeper that is less than a year old. There is no wear and tear on the brushes. Oh, and the CSR told me that they haven't had people call about this problem --I am guessing they are just buying new brushes or new sweepers. The sweeper def. has great suction but I think other brands do also..

What is causing a slight burning rubber smell when running the vacuum?

If this is a sweeper model with a rotating brush, remove the brush assembly. Clean and oil (3-1oil or similar) the bearings on the ends of the brush. They are usually full of string, hair, and thread which binds the brush. Check the belt for burn spots or other damage. Hope this helps!

Same here (thumping)

The problem is that your brush motor is not functioning properly. Call customer support and let them know you may need a new cleaning head module. They'll have you walk through some troubleshooting and let you know what they can do for you. 1-877-855-8593
