How can i disassemble an Oki c810 drum?

This is to replace the internal drum elements - which I've already procured, but without instructions. Also any tips on where to replace the drum chip not the toner chip would also be great. - TIA

2. Menu window will show "OKI USER"
3. Scroll to " Engine Dialog Mode" is indicated. Push Enter button.
4. "Diagnostic Mode xx.xx.xx S-Mode is indicated.

SOURCE: Oki C3300 toner replace, where do I stick the new chip

On the top left hand side of the cartridge, usually where the letter representing the colour of the toner (in your case M for Magenta) appears, there is a small removable section, about 15mm by 20 mm in size. Prise this open with your finger nail or small screwdriver. Remove the old chip and insert the new one in here.

SOURCE: I have a new OKI B410d printer which is givng

It is more than likely that you have an incompatible toner fitted to the drum unit. Either a generic cartridge or b430 or b440 cartridge which is not compatible with b410's. Beyond that it may be a faulty drum unit. Hope this helps.

How to reset drums on oki c5950

Amber's solution worked on an oki c5150 as well as on her 5500.
At first, I got into other menus and did not see what she'd described. I cancelled out, then re-ran her procedure following its steps EXACTLY... At the very end, I may have seen one additional message - "EXECUTE" - which I "entered" to launch the process. Printer now works while I find instructions on how to replace "just the drum".

The OEM drum assembly is very easy to change but costs about $125. I found (on Universal Ink & Toner) a drum-only replacement for $30, but there was no instruction sheet with it. This solution has allowed me to keep working while I figure out how to install the new drum. Print quality was excellent right up until the manufacturer's internal counter shut printing down. Quality remains excellent after applying the above solution.

THANK YOU AMBER

Screen says change drum

Your printer is telling you it needs a new drum. Go to a search engine (Google or similar) and type:

oki b4350 drum

The results will show you where you can purchase a replacement. They look to be priced between £115 and £160. The replacement should have instructions on how to fit it.

Best of luck.

My oki C5150 is making a clicking noise in the front like the sound of a playing card in a tire spoke when riding a bike. ( i used to do this when I was a kid )

I had this problem with my C5100. In addition to the noise, it would not print. It turned out that it was the black drum and I replaced it. The noise went away and I could print. I have since found out that there is an internal counter that disables the drum after it gets to a preset number of copies. I searched for and found instructions on how to reset the drum counter in advance of it "self-destructing". It may be too late to do this after it starts clicking, but it can be used in the future.

OKI5500 color drums reset

No, when you need to replace the drum, you must replace the drum. You don't want to mess around resetting fuses on the drums. They go about 10,000 pages on the 5500; then start to make lines, streaks etc on the printout. Why would you want that.

OKI B6300 Drum problem

Hello, com_jedi. I would suggest you contact the OKI Customer Support line in order to address this issue. The phone number is 1-800-654-3282 (800-OKIDATA). For your model unit you would hit options 1 then 4 to get to mono support.

It is possible that you purchased a defective consumable and OKI warranties them for 90 after the date of purchase. If this is a new drum/toner it may need to be replaced to determine if it was a bad chip in the cartridge or if there is some other issue with the unit that is causing the error.

It is also possible there is a misalignment with the sensor that is located under the drum unit. A support tech can walk you through the troublehshooting as it would be a bit difficult to do here.

I hope this helps!
