HE4 Elite dryer beeps

My dryer light goes on when I open the door, but when I press a drying cycle button nothing happens. There are no lights, numbers etc. I have checked the plugs, fuses etc. and all is good. I did clean out the lint trap and then it worked. Now during the drying cycle it beeps every 20 seconds or so...what is wrong with it??Thanks,Linda

    all the lights are out on panel. push all the buttons at once, it will sometimes work. than it will beep while the load is running

    Began with control lock always beeping now dryer wont start at all. Unplugged and checked all fuses, everything there is fine. No lights will come on control panel but inside lights work, HELP!!!

You are getting moisture in the control panel buttons. After a while the panel will not function at all. The light in the dryer tub will still come on when the door is open. When you unplug your machine and it sets for awhile you are allowing the moisture to dry and the machine can reset. Some people use a hair dryer to dry out the control panel for a temporary fix. Eventually, you will have to get it replaced once it stops resetting for you.

Kenmore Elite Smartheat Quiet Pak 9 won't start. Light turns on and off inside drum when door opens/closes, but no lights come on on the outside display.

leave door open and press the rubber botton inside, \ I just hooked up mine and it did same thing, i pushed botton light went out, so this told me the door wasnt closing correctly, you have to push hard on door first couple times. hope this helps you.

When I push start it beeps 3 times. Lights on the right work, lights on the far left don't light up.


Alright, pretty unconventional, but simple and Genius on my part!!! Not sure if we're talking about the same models, but I was cruising this site with the same problem.... K, so it's making three beeps right? Check inside the DRYER (maybe same issue w/ washer, I dunno), but there's a button on the top-inside.... DEPRESS THAT BUTTON, and while holding it down, START THE DRYER (HOLD TO START), if it starts working, this tip is for you!

1) on the opposite side, where the door depresses that same button on the dryer door... you ready for this... see step two ;)

2) SUPER GLUE A PENNY IN THAT INDENTATION PART, your problem is there's not enough connection, and the door is no longer holding that same button down...

3) TA DAH!! Since a repair guy could've charged ya like 50+ bucks, I'll take... emmm.. 25$, email me at [email protected] on where to send the check, or just shoot me an email to say thanks ;)

Kenmore Elite HE4 beeps three times when start panel is pressed and wont turn on
FWIW ... the Sears guy came by yesterday. The problem was apparently that the door latch was not operating to the extent that the sensors thought the door was open. He is replacing the latch next week. He adjusted the old one in the mean tiome and it appears to be working fine.

This kind of stunned me, since my wife reported an electric zap and the interior light burned out as the dryer went dead -- so I was sure it would be a fried circuit board -- but, no, a little jiggling of the latch seemed to clear it up....
