SOURCE: How do I install fuel lines on a poulan chain saw

The smaller line comes from the fuel filter in the tank to the nipple on the side of the carb with the cover w/ 1large screw in the center, the other small line goes from the other nipple on the carb to the primer bulb, the larger line goes from the other nipple on the primer bulb back to the tank, and only gets pushed in about 1/2-3/4" into the tank. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: need to replace gas line inside mcculloch chain

You need to disassemble the case to get to the fuel tank. Pull out the plug fitting and replace the internals with new factory grade parts.

Even the new number you provided does not cross. Could your saw be a PM3216, model 11-600032-33? That does cross here:

SOURCE: which hose goes to which connection on a primer

Hello Ryan;
There is also a 11- prefix.
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/MCC/21-600038-19-MacCat-Super-IPL-211318-01/139.21-600038-19-MacCat-Super-IPL-211318-01.1.59.1.html

Compress the primer, connect 1 hose, and release the primer. If it fills it is correct. I get conflicting reports on the carburetor connections, it may be model related.

McCulloch ChainSaw Model: 600035-18. Looking for manual. Replacing the Primer Bulb and hoses to fual tank, carborator, and from opposite side of carborator are bad. replaced the lines connected to the...

Hi cmiller290...

The hose in the tank with the filter on the end connects directly to the carburetor input connection.

When the saw is equipped with a primer bulb, an output line from the carburetor connects to the suction side of the primer (once the bulb is collapsed it draws fuel from the tank through the carburetor to refill as it inflates).

The pressure side of the primer returns displaced fuel to the tank as it is depressed.

Are you sure you have conected the pipes the correct way round, the fuel hose from the tank with the filter on the end goes to the main fuel inlet on the carb, nearest to the alloy pump cover, the other conection off the carb goes to the shorter conection on the back of the primer, the longer pipe on the primer goes back to the tank, just remember the primer pulls fuel from the carb, into the bulb, and back to the tank.

Can not get gas to primer

Check the primer bulb closely to see if it is cracked. Assuming that the fuel lines have not been moved around, and the primer is good, this indicates a plugged carburetor, a bad fuel line to or from the carburetor, or a plugged fuel filter. Be sure to have fresh fuel mix in the tank. Hope some of this helps!

How to replace the fuel primer bulb and fuel lines in McCulloch 3516 chainsaw? the fuel primer bulb broke and the plastic lines have crumbled. i need to know how to run the lines from the fuel tank to...

I just did a primer bulb not too long ago, but I don't remember what equipment it was on. They are generally easy to replace. First, remove anything that is retaining the bulb assembly, such as cover plate. On my Homelite chainsaw, I simply pried it out with a small screwdriver.
The replacement part itself has two barbed stubs that the two fuel line hoses push onto.
Make sure that you keep the fuel line tubes above the fuel level at all times to prevent leakage.

Need to know how to re-connect primer bulb on McCulloch Model # B00032-32, Ser # 11-100258 (McCulloch Gas Powered Chain Saw)

Take the line off of the primer that goes to the tank and leave loose for a moment. The other line to the primer comes from the carburetor and it should be be tried on either port on the primer until it will pull fuel into itself when pumped. If neither port works, the primer pump may be faulty, the carburetor is plugged internally, or the fuel line from the tank to the carburetor is decayed or the fuel filter is plugged. When the primer pulls fuel into itself, reconnect the return line that goes back to the tank. Hope this helps!

Change all fuel lines in a McCollough Chain Saw, new fuel filter. How far does line from the primer go into the fuel tank. Just on edge, barley or in a few inches? I get it started but it goes off after...

It should be as illustrated on the link.
Typical Fuel System (Primer Bulb and fuel lines may not apply)
http://www.fixya.com/support/r3706813-2_cycle_fuel_system_repair
The line with the filter needs to be long enough to reach all parts of the tank as the saw is moved. The return line is not a critical length probably mid tank. Do you have the filtered hose feeding the primer and not the carburetor? That will cause what you describe. HTH

Chain saw, there is a line from primer to the carb, then what? I cant tell if coming out of the carb it goes back to primer or in the fuel tank? Then should there be a line from fuel tank to the primer?

Similar to this, typical fuel system.

  • The hose in the tank with the filter on the free end connects directly to the carburetor input connection.

Fuel line from fuel tank to throttle switch ? broke need to order eager ****** mini pro 2.1 ci 16 inch cant find part #er thanks for your time

On the bottom of your saw is a tag with the serial number (i.e. 13-24475) and model (i.e. 600093C).
An IPL number for any McCulloch parts source can be created using the hyphenated serial number and complete model number (i.e. 13-600093C) = “YourCreatedIPL#”.

Use the IPL number you created here:
M&D Mowers
http://www.m-and-d.com/parts.html

Click “Illustrated Parts Diagrams ON LINE”
Click “Click Here for Parts Lookup”
Changes to “Select OEM” Window reads “Briggs & Stratton ▼” Click the arrow and select “McCulloch Power”
Click “Gasoline-Powered Chain Saws”
Click ““YourCreatedIPL#”. HTH

I have a 3516 chain saw mod22-600035-18 Mcculloch the fuel lines

I wish I could help. There are no parts available, there are no Exploded parts lists I've found a link to. These are Chinese chainsaws with the McCulloch name. They ARE Chinese chainsaws and I'm disappointed in Mac. Most mechanics won't touch them. We can provide no more help with this saw. Sorry
Lou
Poulan or Craftsman gasoline chainsaws are reasonably inexpensive, parts are available, and given a little TLC perform well.
