I have a westinghouse model WD50FC1120, when I power it up the blue light comes on, the W logo comes up for a split second, then it's gone, then no image, no sound and I cannot get to the menu. Could it be the T-Con board or the TW-00541-C050F Main Board / PSU UF1 EEPROM ONLY ?
Hello Mike, for what you know, your Westinghouse, WD50FC1120 would be needing a firmware update, look at www.westinghouse.com for the updates available for your model and the downloads in an empty USB memory, without any file and then place it in the TV and update the Firmware

Hello.
Normally T-Con board have nothing to do with powering up of TV. It's only affecting image when TV is on. So we can discard T-Con as a suspect for now.
Remove "new" main board and install the old one. If TV powering up and back light comes on - you've purchased defective Main Board and you should return it for exchange or refund. It happens all the time, boards that they sell most of the time are refurbished and sometime nothing was done and they send defective board to the other customer by error.
In case that TV is not powering up even with the old main board - look for something that you have done during replacement (like forgotten or overlooked connection, broken/bended pins etc.).

Reset the tv and the cable or satalite boxes,replug it back an hour later let the tv reset it self back to factory setting and the boxes upgrade it software.The tv should work now.Not,than yes.It the Tuner main board.

we just had this same thing happen in san diego - due to the power outage - and i only get the orange light. did you find a solution yet?\
the transformer for the backlight is usually what fails on the elements especially if the logo comes up briefly then the screen goes out. I would check the transformers.
