What does error F2 indicate?

I have tried every button but nothing will release the error and get it started again. Is there any way to reset the computer?

An error message from F1-F9, means the machine is malfunctioning, so it's best to see a technician who can fix it. You can't fix it yourself. Sorry.

Take the lens off and continue pressing the shutter untill it doesn't react anymore, you should then have a normal menu without the error message.Put your lens on and you're all sorted.Cheaper and less hassle than sending it to Nikon.

SOURCE: Push the reset button

This error indicates a cassette mechanism malfunction.
It happens usually when you don't operate the camecorder for long time
leaving the cassette inside and the battery attached.
Solution:
1. Open the cassette housing and nock GENTLY with your finger tip
on the cassette cabinet (particularly on the position marked "push") until
the cassette is released.
2. Push on the right place (marked "push") to close and then close the
cassette housing
3. Operate the cassette (play, fast forward/backward).
Repeat the above steps several times until the problem is gone.
Advise: Remove the battery and cassette when leaving the camecorder
for long period without being operated, and store the camcorder in a
dust/humidity protected place.
Hope this can help.

Overload message on my janome 8000

I know you said you have performed the reset sequence, but try these steps and see if the unit goes through the diagnostics correctly.
1

  • Turn off your Janome MC8000. Wait for a few seconds.

2
  • Press and hold the "Start," "Reverse" and "Auto lock" buttons at the same time.

3
  • Release the three buttons once your Janome MC8000 turns on.

4
  • Locate the plus (+) sign on the machine screen. Press the plus sign when prompted. Wait till you receive a message that says "Test Complete."

5
  • Turn off the Janome MC8000. Wait for a few seconds.

6
  • Turn on the Janome MC8000 once again. This will prompt the embroidery machine to conduct a diagnosis. Wait till it finishes the diagnosis and troubleshoots the errors you were encountering before.

Screen comes up but the buttons at the bottom will not respond to touch and the others seem less sensitive also

Ok, turn off the machine, take the power cord off. Wait for a few minutes and replug it. Make sure there's no extension plug connected to it.
Then turn it on and check if the buttons work and it doesn't, check if there's any error message or indicator on the screen.

F2 error on brother sewing machine..what does it mean? wont do anything but beep

On mine this means the button for reverse is stuck. Just wiggle the button a bit and it will pop out again. It can get pushed in at a slight angle and catch a bit, but nothing is broken... I don't know if this is the only thing F2 means, but it is one thing!

The machine was accidentally dropped. We started with an E7 error, and now an E3 error message.

E7 means
The start/stop button, reverse/reinforcement stitch button
or the thread cutter button was pressed while no thread
cassette was installed

E3 means
The buttonhole or bar tack stitch was selected and the
start/stop button was pressed while the buttonhole lever
is raised.
(make sure buttonhole lever is in correct position)

If the start/stop button is pressed before the sewing machine is correctly set up or if an operation is performed
incorrectly, an error message appears in the stitch indicator. Follow the instructions that appear.
If you press (Stitch selection key) or do the operation correctly while the error message is displayed, the
message disappears.

Machine will not complete a buttonhole, keeps showing error code 6L. No error code listed in manual. Machine will only do first half of buttonhole and then shows code and stops.

I've been looking too and I found here http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/sewingclasses/board.pl?t=18328that you need to put the bar behind the needle threader down. I think they call it a button hole stop? I don't know, but it worked. I didn't even know it existed. But it solved my problem. On my Kenmore it looks like a black lever and you pull it down. It tells the button-holer that you are at the end of the hole and it needs to backup. nifty, kind of.

"START" ON MACHINE FUTURA CE-100

The start switch is the Led indicator buton. You will see it on page 12 of your manual. It is on the right of the needle bottom button.

Error F2

This error means you have the buttonhole lever down while not sewing the buttonhole stitch. The lever is located next to the presser foot, it's white. Just push it back up. If this isn't what's going on, then your machine thinks that's what's going on and it needs to be reprogrammed.

for future reference, check the manual. If you don't have yours anymore go to retrevo.com and search brothe cs100t and register for free and download the manual

Will not sew

Try turning off the machine and turning it on again. Sometimes this will reset it so it will work. Also, make sure the embroidery foot is in the down position; the machine will pause and "beep" if you haven't lowered it. Hope this helps!
