Hi
Contact Motorola Solutions Get Support or Zebra Technologies Support Downloads. They aren't helping on FixYa yet so it is best to reach out directly.
Hello Jane Diaz,
the scanner has several barcode types enabled by default. Other type or lengths must be activated with an programming barcode from the Programm Reference Guide for LS4000.
Please check which kind of barcode are you using.
Download the Program Reference Guide from support.symbol.com
Scan the barcodes from the chapter Symbologies
Hello Metro9. It sounds like something has gone haywire in you unit's configuration. We have the LS4000i manual available on our website. Have a look at it and go to page 5-6 for the "Set All Defaults" barcode. Printing this page and scanning the barcode will reset all of the settings on your LS4000i to it's default settings which are listed on page 5-1. That would be resetting the scanner. If you have any other problems, feel free to send me a message or email and I'll be happy to help. Good luck!
you need to download the pdf manual for this reader whichh you can find in the support page of www.symbol.com.
search within the manual a barcode called set all defaults. this will remove the carriage return after scan.
Hello,
it looks like the scanner lost the settings. As power is there, so connection is ok. The several (four) beeps after reading the barcode means communication error.
Please try to find the original sheet with configuration barcodes or download it from support.symbol.com website, you would need to scan the barcode for IBM PC/AT & IBM Compatibles from Keyboard Wedge Chapter.
There is more than one way for that imager to send data to the computer. Are you using USB, serial, or is there a little box that goes between your existing keyboard and the PC that accepts the scanner connector?
