I have 4 KM-3035's, 1 KM-4035, 1 KM-5035 and 2 KM-2050's in a WAN set-up as network printers.
Soon after upgrading Svr 2003 STD to SP2 I lost the KM-5035 LAN printer. The status reads Offline. After fussing with it and not resolving the issue I installed the driver locally on the LAN PC's and there have been no problems printing in that configuration. Now 6 months later I drop one of the WAN KM-3035, sttus = offline every now and then? Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks, Forrest
It sounds like there is an ip conflict... you may need to reserve an ip address just for the copier or failing that change your copiers ip address to one below the ip range... if it still has problems then I would check the network cables.... and see if you get any error codes... copier can go offline if 1. the print card is loose... bad mounting socket on the main board... ip conflict... someone else has the ip address... poor network traffic... the signals over the network cables are degrading too fast... so the copier gets a corrupt file or unfinished file and bombs out... power surge... this causes firmware corruption and the thing just starts shooting wierd error codes... I think I have given you enough to think about...

Try an updated driver from the manufacturer or see if they have any know issues with 2003 sp2 and the driver.
Hope this helps!
