An F1 usually means a communication error between the control board/touchpad and the motor/pump assy. Could you please supply the full model # for your unit?
F1 can mean two things - depending on which drawer it is coming in.
It is a sign that the water is leaking from the drawers into the base of the housing and tripping the flood switch.
To fix this you will have to take the drawers out and dry out the flood switch at the base of the housing. Use towels and hair dryer. Most like the dishwasher detergent is foaming or the door seal is leaking or the outlet drain is cracked. Make sure the mains power is turned off when you are working on the dishwasher.
The other reason is if the thermal cutout is blown in the lower drawer that can cause the F1 to appear in top drawer. But if both drawers are flashing F1 then this is unlikely.
F1 means "flood. there is a flood sensor underneath the drawer, and if there is any water under the drawer the control will show that error. Check the drain hose linkage for cracks. Remove drawer and dry the area underneath.
Hi, The reason for F1 fault code in your dishwasher is due to the flood switch that has been activated in your unit. The best way to solve your problem is to turn off the water supply and power supply to your unit and call an authorized service center. These problems cant be fixed on your own. Thank you !!
The f1 code is caused moisture in the electronics part most likely in the door.see if there is any way that you can see where moisture might get in and plug that spot up. In the case of the f1 code when not using the dishwasher leave the door propped open to help dry out the electronics.
Try this: Start with the machine OFF, hold down and CONTINUE TO HOLD the "F1" key and turn on the power WHILE STILL HOLDING DOWN "F1" This
should get you into the bios/setup, which on most thinkpads is pretty
simple and self explanatory. You can reset the date, and something
called "initialize" as I remember. POST YOUR MODEL NUMBER!!!! Ibm.com's
support is famous for having very good, extensive support for
thinkpads. I searched for this error no. but we really need the model
number http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-4YLR6R
open up the underside of the dishwasher and check the 2 terminals that connect to the heater element. Sometimes they burn off and it is a quick repair to just put a new terminal on the end. Also make sure the water going into the dishwasher is hot, as that can cause this problem too. Hope this helps
