Tomtom GO 920 only charges on fast charger base. Why?
According to Tom-Tom, the 920 will not charge, or charges only minimally (ie: barely keeping up with usage), if you have it on and have it plugged into a car power socket. If your car is like mine and turns off the power socket whenevcer you turn off the ignition, then the Tom-Tom never gets charged. The battery also apparently drains itself in about three weeks if not charged. Tom-Tom says the solution is to charge your Tom-Tom (with it OFF) on the quick charger base at least once per week.
This limitation is not mentioned in the Tom-Tom manual.
