My system has begun making a noise when turned on as though its trying to advance a cd. However there is no cd inside it and the tray does not move. The radio works, the cassette player works but you hear nothing but this noise. Anyone else have this problem?
Hello Susan, for what you are saying, you would have a problem with the mechanism of the player, very possibly some stretched strap, which does not have enough tension to make the displacement
I suggest you look for a specialized technical service

Hola Susan, por lo que comentas, tendrias un problema con el mecanismo del reproductor, muy posiblemente alguna correa estirada, que no tiene la suficiente tension para hacer el desplazamiento
Te sugiero busques un servicio tecnico especilizado

SOURCE: Cassette player not working
Cassette players usually have a little rubber band that connects the motor to the spindles. If everything else is fine, I would suggest seeing if it slipped off somehow (or got cracked and snapped)
SOURCE: cd player does not work
yes this usually happens when the lens is too dusty, take a soft cloth like a shirt and gently wipe the l;ens that should work if not it is broken
SOURCE: 1998 - 2002 Honda Cassette 6 disk CD changer Radio
the cd changer is malfunctioning, the factory cd changers usually don't last that long because of the heavy use and many mechanical puts
