* Captioning may come from 3 or more sources.
* TV has CC module built in. You can access it by pressing menu on your TV remote. Follow instructions.
* Cable (or Digital Sat) box. Use the Cable remote to access the "Cable' functions. press menu and follow the instructions.
* Captioning may be on a mandatory broadcast for channel needs. I.E. emergency network, Hearing impaired channel, etc.
* The original movie or clip is broadcast in a different language that has captioning (translation) added in by local TV station (or network)
* Internet (smart TV) click on upper right of video or access with your smart TV Remote.

It depends on your TV. For example, my Samsung support Screen Mirroring which allows this sort of remote display from a computer or mobile device with some additional software. Or, have a look at this link for ways to do it, with some additional hardware, with any TV.
