The cable box signal on the components video have a too high refresh rate frequency, that is the reason for the lines. Use RCA cables or an alternative connection. Other solution is changing the display out settings for cable box (from PAL to NTSC etc.)
You may be trying to view an incompatible signal on the TV (NTSC or PAL), using one type while the TV only natively supports the other. If you see the image in black and white as well as the infinite scrolling effect, this is most certain.
However, if it's a scrolling image in color, then perhaps your V-hold is tuned incorrectly. Find the V-hold knob on the TV and turn it to fix the scrolling; if there is no V-hold, then maybe it's on the back of the TV, or it might be inside the TV. In rare cases I believe it could even be inside the TV menu, though this is doubtful (and also it would be extraordinarily difficult to access since the picture's already scrolling).
Dear Jeff, It seems like the Horizontal IC in your TV is dying. This and the Vertical IC is responsible for displaying images on your TV. (Look at your TV through your Phone Camera and you will see upward scrolling lines. This is the Horizontal IC in action.) I would strongly advise you to get your TV repaired immediately.
Check the vertical synchronisation section. Either the set lose vertical synchronisation signals, or the vertical oscillator is oscillating out of frequency. The work is a skilled one, and you must have through knoledge in electronics to follow.
possibly something binding up the track, usually plastic guide clips break on one side and cause this problem, the glass is easy to remove, 4 nuts under plastic covers on each side becareful to count the shims and make sure they go back into proper position, this gives you a great view of the track and guides good luck
Sounds like you have an incorrect output signal from the Xbox or a fried chipset in the Xbox. Test the Xbox on another TV or monitor, test another video source on that same connection, if both of those fail, replace the Xbox. Hope it helps!
Open up the piano roll window for the sample you have selected. Use the highlight tool, which looks of a dashed square, to select the entire pattern by dragging your cursor from the top right corner of the piano roll diagonally to the left bottom corner of the piano roll. If you can't see all of the bars used, then try sizing the track in the piano roll closer together by placing your cursor on the square directly to the right of the horizontol scroll bar. Hold down the left click and move your mouse down to track the piano roll closer or move the mouse upwards to span it more. Select all of the bars used in the piano roll and click the down arrow in the very upright corner. Select Edit > Copy. This will copy all of the bars in the current piano roll. To paste the pattern simply click the down arrow again in the upright corner and select Edit > Paste in any piano roll.
Hi
It's difficult to be sure without being able to see the lines myself, but what it sounds like is some stray RF is getting into your video signal. Although your cables are supposed to be shielded, this is a common problem. The first thing I would do is move the cables or cable you are using, in relation to any power cords hanging down behind your equipment while someone watches for the lines to change or dissapear, and is that has no effect, then if possible change the position of the VCR in relation to the tv, so that if for example it is under the tv, move it to the side, or farther away, and the lines may very well dissapear. That problem is due to a common interaction between the tv and
vcr where there is not enough shielding, usually inside the bottom of the tv set.
Hope this helps, good luck!
