If you leave it up, drain down past flow lines. We use a tarp. It will still get dirty and green, and is hard to clean in 72* degree water. Takes a long time to warm up. Sometimes we leave it up, mostly we clean out and take down, to level yard next year.( moles, sides sinking, or damage to rusted legs. I personally would take it down. Start fresh. Mine is salt water, 9 X 18 and have had it for nine years. Good luck.

SOURCE: Problems with Intex Krystal Clear Model 635 Pool Filter Pump 1500

No, the pump should not be noisy. It sounds like you have picked up a foreign object in the pump housing. you may have to pull the face off to determine. OR the pump/motor is indeed defective and should be returned.

SOURCE: Hi, I have let my

You need to get liquid chlorine and add about 2 liters and let your pool filter run for a couple of days and in the mean time clean your filter twice daily. If the pool at this stage is still a little green add more chlorine and broom the bottom to stir it up. After this as once your pool is back to almost normal, clean the the filter again and add clarifya. To keep your pool in good condion over summer buy 2 pool floaters, put 2 chlorine tablets in one and blue block pool sparkle in the other and each week add 1 liter of chlorine. Hope this helps you as i have the same pool and i do this and don't have any problems. You can also add salt to your pool if you like but dissolve it in water before you add it to the pool.

SOURCE: I purchased an Intex 1500

They are so cheap, just buy a new one. Intex filters and pumps are essentially "disposable" products, and typically dont last more than 2 years

WHAT AND HOW DO YOU VACUUM INTEX ABOVE GROUND SALT WATER POOL

I used the manual vacuum that came with the pool during the summer because I actually got in the pool and vacuumed), but ultimately, now that it is cold, I went to the pool store and bought a much bigger vacuum (that still hooks up to the water hose) and then a longer pole. It's just too darn cold to get in the water during the winter. :-) Hope this helps!

HOW TO WINTERIZE AQUAMATE ABOVE GROUND SWIMMING POOL PUMP

Open the plugs on the bottom front of the pump pot and on the pump housing itself. These two plugs will do the pump and just the pump. You should have simmilar plugs on the filter, heater, chlorinator and any other equiptment on the system.

Is there any chemicals I need to add to my pool when I leave it up and full of water for the winter. I am worried about the alge growth. when I stop treating the water . on my salt water system.

If you have the intex soft side pool do not leave it up.
Once the water freezes and thaws you take a big risk of gouging the pool and thus tearing it.
These pools are meant to be taken down every year if you live in a freeze area

My intex saltwater system does not fit on my summer escapes filter pump. My pool size is 16' x 42" and the pump sits on the ground. On end of the filter is high and the other is low (returm flow).

unfortunately every thing you mentioned is not reaaly important.
Bottom line is that Intex has there own size hoses and prevents easy installation with other manufacturers.
You will need to make a trip to home depot and buy a basket full of fittings and keep trying till one works

Intex changed product materials of pvc pools

You would think that two tarps would be enough, lol
I would get weed killer and kill the grass or put sand over it. the last suggestion is diggin it up and then putting sand over it to level it back up.
Please rate and let me know if it helps.
thanks and God bless

How deep can we dig for oval deep-end pool

This blog has information about sinking an above ground pool. It is normally recommended that you do not sink the pool entirely into the ground becuase of pressure concerns and the risk of collapse. Generally, you leave 1-3 feet of the pool above the ground and install a deck or similar feature to make the pool appear to be in the ground. The type of pool liner that you have (expandable) is best for this practice, but it can be done with overlap or regular beaded liners also.

Would like to know how to close a salt water pool for winter

There is nothing special about closing a pool based on using a salt water generator system. You can use any chlorine based chemicals for your winter dosing and you drain the lines, including the generating cell, just as you always would.
