Maytag Neptune Stacked unit door leaks

I have a Neptune stacked unit. When the wash cycle reaches stage 3 (sounds like it is filling tub to rinse) the door starts to leak. I assume it is overfilling at this stage as the door does not leak any other time. If I manually move the dial to the next stage, the leak stops. How to fix???/

Ended up that the problem was a stopped up line from the fabric softner dispenser to the drain.

$78 repair from local company.

why does my maytag neptune washer/dryer fabric softner fills with water now and now it overflows and leaks out of my door.

This can be caused by water collecting in the door to tub seal. Best repair would be to replace the door seal.

Put detergent

MLG2000A - Maytag Neptune Super Stack SL-3
1 - Select Wash/Rinse Water Temperature
2 - Select Options (Max Extract, Extra Rinse, Signa)
3 - Select Cycle
4 - Load the Clothes Washer (add detergent on top of the load in the tub, and additives [fabric softener, bleach] in their dispensers).
5 - Start the washer.
This is according to the owner's manual I have. Has worked for 14 years for me.

This is a Maytag LSE7906A stacked washer/dryer. The wash cycle fills and drains properly, but the rinse cycle won't fill on all 3 programs. Just sits and waits...

What water temp do you wash on and what water temp for rinse?

My stacked Maytag front loader leaks out through the door when the fabric softener dispenser is being filled (2nd rinse cycle only). Any help?

The second rinse is when the softener cup is being flushed. Remove the dispenser and clean and inspect the housing to be sure no softener is gumming up the holes and blocking the water flow into the machine.

Very loud spin cycle

It sounds like the bearings have gone out in the tub. The major cause of this is using powder soap. There is nothing you can do but replace the rear outer tub. This is a costly fix but maybe worth it for a stack unit.

Water won't completely drain from tub. Door seal is very moldy.

Had a simular problem. In my unit the water was not visible in the drum but you could hear it when you turned the drum by hand. The answer as told to me by the Maytag repair man: The machine is designed to hold the water after the cycle is complete. As he was replacing the boot seal he suggested to just leave the door open so the seal will dry out and not mold. This has been working for the past several years. No mold has appeared on the new boot seal.

From another source I read that the water is left in the machine for balance.
