the green is the reboot process and is normal. the red light is an error code indicator. count the blinks of the red light...it cant be 30 times (I think) it will blink a sequence, pause, then do it again for a total of three times. count carefully, it gives you three chances to catch the number it is blinking.
I have a toshiba 50hm67 tv and with mine the blue light would come on and I would hear sound first and then the picture would finally come on... this happend for about a month.... next the yellow and blue light would come on but the pic still wouldn't come on until it clicked off and on by itself for about 10 min this went on for about a week. All of a sudden last night the red lights by the power light started blinking. No tv now and when the tv shut off it said lamp not working.
The red light is a status indicator that means your tv needs to be serviced. Most likely your bulb burned out or failed. You can purchase a replacement bulb online. I have solved a few questions on how to replace a bulb on this site. Check my profile for those posts if you need help with that.
hi there, this may seem like a sstandard problem, but differs from mfg. to mfg. in the sony tv's it is usually an open cap in the stand-by power supply, since you werent specific in your problem, there can be many solutions even for a single series or group of tv's even within the same mfg. give me specifics and i can answer more precise. hope this helps even a little.
your problem is likely to be in horizontal section of tv.
please take the help of skilled tech.
it is not a major problem but as you know that it is a high voltage device.
All the TV's have a fail safe now a days. It looks like that there is a problem with color management or the picture tube. If this is a projection than I could have said that it is a certain that it is to do with the color management. When Tv tries turn on it get a signal that there is a problem when it does the diagnosis prior to turning on and it stops. I am leaning towards the Picture tube as you didn't mention that the power light goes off after it tries to turn on. Please get it checked. good luck.
