We lost our remote for the TV when we moved a few months ago. Last night we plugged in our new monster cable for HD and the picture defaulted back to short screen (loose 4 inches on each side) and we tried to fix it manually but could not find the right setting. It is a porjection TV about 4 years old. Do I need the a new remote or can you tell me how to do it manually?

After fooling around with all of the buttons, and disconnecting the power to the TV, it occured to me that it may be the Comcast digital cable box. I unplugged the cable box for a few minutes, plugged it back in and the TV works just fine!
The best way is to contact your service provider and ask them to trouble shoot guide you, there should be a way to reset or diagnose the receiver or if you prefer go back to the place you bought it and ask for a replacement, You should still have the manufacturer's warranty, check that as well.
