Where is the motor for refrigerator water

Ice is working so water line seems to beok but water does not comeout from the front water dispencer. I don't hear the motor working, so where is the motor in the refrigerator. I have Kenmore refrigerator about 9 years old.

Compressor is under the fridge at the back. Water line works since ice maker is working. When I press the water latch I don't hear the motor, so I am not sure if the line is frozen or motor is bad.

When you try the water dispenser you should hear the water inlet valve which is on the back where the water supply comes in. If you do hear it then Your water line could be frozen in the door. You can disconnect the line under the unit before it goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out there. If it does leave the door open till it thaws.
If you don't hear the valve working the dispenser switch is bad.

Last night, I connected an active water line to the back of my Kenmore side by side. The ice maker is making ice but water water and ice is not coming out of the dispencer. There is another water jug...

You have a dual water inlet valve where your water supply connects. One goes to the ice maker and the other goes to the water dispenser by way of the water reservoir you mentioned in the fridge.

Open the door and hold the door switch down and try the ice dispenser. Do you hear any thing. You should hear the ice door open and the augur motor turning to turn the augur which pushes the ice out the door. If the augur doesn't turn Take all the ice out of the bin and try. perhaps the motor is too weak or the augur is locked up. Take the bin out and try to see if the motor will turn with no load. The motor is behind the back cover where the bin sits. See if you get power to it using a voltmeter when you try the dispenser. If you are, probably bad motor. If not ,dispenser switch or solenoid is not working.

Water dispenser suddenly stoped working. Ice dispenser working

check the water line fron filter that continues on to water dispfrom icemaker, also a bad water disp solenoid or no pwr to water valve disp solenoid could be a problem, when you try to disp water can you hear a click from the solenoid operating to let water out?

Icemaker

Do you hear it trying to draw water into the ice tray? If so, there might be an internal problem you can't fix yourself. especially since the fridge is dispencing water. Is the arm inside the ice maker pushe down? This is what tells the ice maker to fill and make the ice.

Let me know if this helps.

WATER DISPENCER DOES NOT WORK, YOU CAN HEART THE MOTOR GOING BUT

first thing to do is to remove the lower back panel behind the frige and disconet one of the water lines that goes to the top back of the frige and push the switch to get water with the line of. do that to the 2 lines one at to give you water back there. if none of the lines gives you water back there 100% that plastic valve needs replacing.

Sid by side ice dsspencer and water dispencer(all the indicator light suddently are shut off) not working

you could have a problem with your dispenser module. a burnt pcb that could lead to all of your problems. switches not working, lights not working, dispenser not working, etc.

check your dispenser module and if you find a burnt part or a burnt PCB, then replace it.

Whirlpool side/side ice dispencer not working

I had the same problem, however, the ONLY fix was to call the repair guy and get a new part. I took it out, defrosted the unit thinking ice was in the gear mechanism, lubricated and re-installed it to no avail. The repair guy had SEVERAL of these geared mechanisms in his truck so that told me THIS HAPPENS A LOT. Good luck.

Water dispencer not working

check inside the bottom of the refrigerator for water, the water line goes thru the back of the refrigerator and it may have cracked and leaking inside instead of going to the dispenser.
if not then water is most likely frozen in the line going thru the back of the refrigerator. look behind the pans in the refrigerator and there should be a coil of clear plastic water line, this is the reservoir that chills the water for the dispenser. sometimes it will freeze up if the refrigerator is very cold.

Maytag mfd2561 water dispencer and ice maker issues

Most likely it is the High Voltage Control board located in the unit compartment (take off the back cover where the water lines are) i have had lots of them failing and doing all kinds of odd things, so far it has been that computer. Part number 12002608
