Dell DJ 30gb not recognized in vista

I have a Dell DJ 30 GB pocket player and my computer is having the windows vista and the Windows Media player is not recognizing the device. Do we have any other players to transfer the songs to dell device.

    My dell device cannot connect to my computer.I installed the songbird but before the computer should recognize the Dell. This Window's vista is not detecting the Dell DJ 30 GB player.

Try using a different usb cord and u can also use songbird to put songs on it

The Pocket DJ is not compatible with Windows 7 or Windows 10. If you plugged it into your computer and it did not recognize the device or show up in "My Computer' then it will not work. You would need a windows 7 and Windows 10 drivers.None are available..

I think your Dell pocket DJ is an XP based Operating system.
1 press the start button
2. go to all progams and choose windows update and update your laptop
3. when the update is done, restart your system and try again.

Please tell me the pocket version you are using?

Go to dell.com and enter the DJ's service tag ID on the back of your player on the support section. It will give you a list of drivers and software that you will need for your DJ. If you are running Vista, download the XP drivers. They will work fine.

How do I download music from my comp to my dell dj pocket?
If you haven't tried yet, just plug it in.
Vista is loaded with drivers and it should be able to find one for your DJ.

Vista
go to the dell website, download the driver for windows XP, before installing the driver right click on the install icon, go to properties, securities and select "Run as Administrator". Now install the driver. This should allow you to run your driver and software. I have the 30 gig and it worked for me. good luck and I hope this helps.
