SOURCE: 2206 CUB CADET RIDING MOWER BLADES WILL NOT INGAGE

Having had the same problem on mine, it turned out to be the connection to the fuse under the instrument panel. After I cleaned the contacts on the fuse, it worked great. Also, I had to eventually apply some contact grease to keep it from repeating the problem every couple of weeks. Since then, I haven't had the issue for 2 years.

Blades wont ingage

I would check the belt, the pulleys and the tension of the pulleys. Any of these could be the cause of your issue. Hope this helps!

Very bad vibration when engaging the blade

Bad vibrations when engaging blades is usually caused by an out of balance blade. Out of balance blades occur due to damaged and/or bent blades. The fix is to find and replace the offending blade.

Motor vibrates the entire mower, new motor pulley; belt and deck pulley replaced by serviceman. Continues to vibrate. Craftsman YTS 3000

Doesa the vibration happen when the cutting blades are engaged or do you still have vibration when blades are not turning? IF BLADES ARE TURNING AND YOU HAVE VIBRATION, YOU NEED NEW BLADES OR THEY GOT BENT FROM HITTING SOMETHING HARD AND NEED TO BE STRAIGHTENED OR REPLACED. If vibe is there when blades are still, possibly the output (crankshaft) is bent. Goodluck, Macgivor

Not ingaging

Check to see if the belt might have come off and wedged on something under the frame. Or,,maybe a spindle could be locked-up. One more thing to check is if your deck might have a braking system on it to keep the blades from moveing it might not be disingaging.

What ingages blades ,blades not engage

On most riding mowers flipping the handle to engage the blade causes an idler pulley to engage the drive belt, which takes up the slack in the belt and pulls it against the drive pulleys. A few odd-balls have an electric clutch to engage the blades.

Electric lawnmower

Need to check blade and replace.Blade is out of balance causeing vibration. If you continue to use cener shaft bearing will also wear out and cause vibration. Buy new blade and if vibration is still there return blade.Mower is not worth bearing replacement. Buy new mower.

Please take time to rate .Thanks
