Kyocera strobe phone crashed

I went to open a picture mail and got the crash dump msg. my phone is totally screwed and from what I found out through metro pcs, this happens alot with Kyocera and can be fixed by "flashing" through a cell phone repair shop or by purchacing another phone. Hint do not replace the phone with another Kyocera!!!!!! I have heard several stories of repeat crash dumps! i have crashed or frozed my new cell phone the same day i got it. the phone came from China andit is not down in the U.S it the new P888B dual tri-band phone

Having the same problem with the Switchback. Virgin Mobile's answer is "buy a new phone"; Kyocera's answer was to send it in to their outside repair service, for which I would have to pay shipping both ways, and a $15 fee if nothing is wrong with it. No way to get an estimate until I send it in.



I have an idea, though I can't afford to waste the money trying it if it doesn't work, so for now it is just a theory. I was attempting to send a picture message on low battery when I had this problem. After the "crash dump" error, phone acts as it does when you try to power it on with completely dead battery (black screen which flashes every few seconds for a minute or so.) However, it does not charge. My theory is it could be a permanently dead battery. My battery was losing its ability to hold a charge, and was down to about a day. I can't spend $40-$50 on a battery that may not solve the problem right now; if I had a friend with the same phone I'd try it. Just an idea. Having the same problem with the Switchback. my kyoceras been slow for the last couple weeks. it would take me more time to text than to call someone for something small such as "be home soon." Then 2 days ago it just stoped working. i could get some calls out and some in. the screen went completely black. then it went yellow. that lasted for about 2 hours then it just stoped working. if you call my phone its ringing when the battarys out. but when i turn on my phone it says "crash dump analyzer 2.1 nested crash". what does this mean? is it even fixable? should i just stay away from kyoceras? help!!! i need my phone!! my kyoceras been slow for the last couple weeks. it would take me more time to text than to call someone for something small such as "be home soon."
