"Test" displays no washing done!

Hi there;
Im having problems with my hotpoint washing machine. When I turn it on and set up my usual programme and press start the windows displays "test" then does a spin for prewash, a spin for wash, a spin for rinse and a quick spin for dry then stops. it never takes in any water nor tries to throw it out. it then stops and never goes on with the washing. i have tried to select another programme, change the load, unplug the socket but nothing works. Any ideas please?

    Miele W 865 does not spin on any wash programme but spins correctly if spin programme selected?

Your test mode is on, maybe accidently. Press "start", "cancel", "on" & "off" together for 10 secs, you will see d/off come on the display. Do the same & the test mode comes on again.

    First try the "on" & "start" buttons together for 10 secs or more. If it does move from the display, switch of the machine for 5 mins and try again.

Don't hesitate- recall the repair person! Did he, or she, not fully test on site after their repairs? Certainly should have done.

try this - press start, press start again. Now press the on/off button and the start button at the same time and hold them down for 5-10 seconds until the display shows d-end or d-off.

'test' displayed on washing machine
After pressing different buttons and waiting 10 to 15 seconds after turning the power off, I have finally found the solution.
When you have pressed the "Start/Cancel" button to start your wash programme the LCD shows "test".
You must then press the "Start/Cancel" button which will give you the normal temperature and washing time and then importantly you must depress both the "Start/Cancel" button with the "On/Off" button which will give you a different LCD message and then it will automatically resets itself.

This works

To exit the TEST mode, press and hold down the "Start/Cancel" button until ALL of the console lights light up. Press both "Start/Cancel" and On/Off buttons simultaneously until " dOFF " appears in the display. The default setting will now appear and the machine can be used normally.
