Installed black ink but hp psc 750 keeps saying install colour and i only have black ink. Can you operate this printer without colour in.

Did you make sure you removed the plastic tape protection before installing the cartridge? Check to see if there is anything on the bottom of the unit. It could be the problem. Check the install instructions.

You can instal it manually by going controle panel, printers, add and follow the wizard steps

yes all HP printers need to have both ink cartridges installed in order for the printer to function

Do not use any refilled or reinked local catridges that will spoil the HP PSC 2210 printer. 05. Re-install the catridges both Black and Colour properly. 06. That's right according to the above info
Try
Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

All hp printers need both cartridges installed to operate, it can be emty, as long as its installed. Goto prefrences in you printer settings there is a option use colour or black only.... Hope thise solves your problem

Just replace the cartridge.

Have tried
Start /printers/faxes/ double click window opens and you printer icon should be there - right click and delete.
Now go to Control Panel/Add-remove software/ find HP 750 soft ware delete it.
Restart the machine
Stay off line.
disable anti virus program.
Install from disk and do exactly as the prompts say- when they say.
