How do you get into the service menu for a LG WE-32Q10IP TV?

you hav''nt specified tv model but you need to have a service code of that model press this service code after pressing menu

if you the reset option once you try resetting ...

if you still persist the problem i think there will be some problem in the tube in that area ...

I am fairly sure in VGA it is a fixed resolution---give LG a call with the model number and see how smart their customer service people are.

There is a service menu adjustment. I have seen several of these sets with bad components in the horizontal width control circuit. maybe your other set has a width problem. put both on the same channel. like cnn with the ticker on the bottom. what is the difference in size?
the width adj. procedure is: with the set off. use the remote, enter. MENU>5>VOL+>POWER . the set will come on in the service mode. then with the menu adj. buttons you can step threw the service menu to H.WIDTH adj. until full picture. also VERT. HEIGHT. when you are done adjusting make sure you press the mute button and watch the word WRITE flash from green to red or you won't save your adjustments.

You did not mention that this cost any money, so I assume that this was a warranty repair. There is the possibility that the new light engine is defective (I see it all the time), or TV needs adjustment via service menu, not mechanical. Call company back or call manufacture to get another company in your area to come out and repair your TV properly. Don't quit until your TV is working properly. Good luck.

Your post/description indicates a "pincushion" problem; the width problem is as you have stated.

There are two (2) possible reason for these problems:
1. component failure in the horizontal section of the monitor. These components could either be a diode, a capacitor or a resistor. In some cases there are trimpots in the PCB that can be adjusted to correct these problems;
2. component/connection failure in the controller section.

Of the two, I tend to suspect #1 as highly likely the case. Repairs such as this would require that you be familiar and comfortable working with electronic components and circuitry, the use of a DVM and a soldering iron. Should this be not to your liking, your next best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

LG Studioworks 563N Monitor horizontal width is exceeding out of screen and not able to adjust it along with pincushion through menu. IRF S630A Transistor replaced, no effect. Pl. help.

Generally,pincushion may be driven by a chip or IC,but pin out is normally a durable xistor. Servicer adjustments are minor for pin correction.Go to pin out circuit & measure voltages.Get back to me on your findings.

The set has 3 IC's(one for each color)strictly dedicated for the aligment of each color,if one them does not align is because is going bad or is already bad becuase picture can not be adjusted,the IC's can be identify because they are mounted on a heat sink and have the markings STK--- ---,they are all the same and need to be replaced with an exact replacement.If you are familiar with tv service you can replace them,sometimes the new ones need to be aligned from the service menu,you will need the service manual,soldering and unsoldering will be involved,If you are not too familiar be safe and seek the assistance of a servicer.
