Loud buzzing noise doesnt stop freezer is still working everything still frozen, just loud noise coming from back bottom of freezer where the parts are, and compressor is very hot to the touch. freezer is out in the garage where it is 90 to 100 degrees. freezer is less than 2 years old

There appears to have been a serious electrical problem in the freezer, possibly involving a short circuit or a broken part.it's best to contact a professional appliance repair technician

From the information you have provided your Frigidaire freezer is making a buzzing noise and it will not stop. You may need to perform a reset on your freezer and you can do that by disconnecting the power cord for at least ten minutes. If the buzzing continues I would be happy to research your freezer further, in order to do so I would need your model number. The green light should be a normal running light and the other one, either yellow or red(ish) should be a high temp alarm. Check the contents to make sure they are still reasonablly frozen and if not start finding the cause....Is the condensor fan motor running correctly? Is the condensor coil clean and free from dirt/lint/fuzz which serves to restrict the transfer of heat? Is there an excessive accumulation of ice build up indicating possibly a problem with the automatic defrost cycle?

the loud buzzing is the freezer high temp alarm. dont know why its warm though.
make sure you don't store anything on top of or on the sides of the unit as the condenser of most freezers are buried in the walls of the unit and it will over heat the compressor. if unit is in a hot garage this will compound the problem.

I had a similar problem yesterday. I woke up and the freezer was not working anymore. It would make a buzzing noise and then it would click and shut off. I looked online for some possible solutions. Here is what I did:
I unplugged the fridge. I pulled it out and took off the cardboard backing. I used an air compressor to blow out all of the dust and dirt that had accumulated on the condenser coils. A shop-vac just wasn't powerful enough to pull out all of the dust/dirt. After that, I plugged it back in....and the same thing was happening. It would buzz, and then it would click off. I figured out that the "click" was coming from a starter relay (a small plastic piece attached to the big black compressor). I detached the plug from the relay and then detached the relay from the compressor. The relay was burned out. It turns out this is a common problem with the relay. I replaced the relay for $50 (from an appliance parts store) and put the whole thing back together in about 10 minutes.
I plugged the fridge back in and the compressor started, and now the freezer works better than other. I saved about $400 doing it myself, all in about one hour. And better yet, my wife was very impressed. Not bad for a doctor.

Since I could get no one to tell me about new freezer compressor making buzzing noise while on, I had the store come a pick it up and give me my money back.

IF YOUR FREEZER HAS A TEMP ALARM, USUALLY LOCATED IN FRONT,BOTTOM, RIGHT CORNER, THE TEMP IS PROBABLY ABOVE THE SAFE TEMP FOR FREEZERS, (10 DEGREES) AND SO THE ALARM WILL SOUND.

THERE SHOULD BE A SWITCH IN FRONT TO SHUT OFF THE ALARM UNTIL THE TEMP GETS BACK DOWN TO ZERO. THEN YOU CAN TURN THE ALARM BACK ON.

IF YOU PLUG IN THE FREEZER AND TURN IT ON, IT SHOULD BE BACK DOWN TO NORMAL TEMP (IF IT IS EMPTY) IN ABOUT 24 HOURS. IF IT ISN'T, YOU HAVE OTHER PROBLEMS. CHECK TO BE SURE THE COMPRESSOR IS RUNNING.

sure its on ly 3 years old. you rseled system should be covered for 5 years (compreessor, freon, evap, condesor). was it making a buzzing noise?? trying to start and clicking right off??? thaose are sounds a bad compressor makes,
