The Comcast DTA remote control is preprogrammed at the factory to operate the DTA receiver. The Comcast DTA remote also contains a universal TV library to allow you to control the Power and Volume of your TV.
1. Turn on the TV

The Comcast remote will unlikely have Olevia codes available since its design age is much older than the set's. Your best bet is to watch various deal sites and get one of the less expensive Logitech Harmony remotes, all of which can easily control your Olevia, as well as your set top box (cable or sat), DVD player, receiver and any of over 100,000 pieces of av equipment -- including eveyr product Olevia made before going defunct.

Are you using Comcast remote to control the TV? When you program the Comcast remote to control your TV, it will do two functions: on/off, and Volume control. The Comcast can also be programmed not to control the volume of the TV (TV volume will have to be set at about mid level manually, then the Comcast box will send out variable sound level to the TV), just on/off ONLY.
