Epson Workforce 600 "ink cartridge cannot be recognized" error

I am receiving a "ink cartridge cannot be recognized" error on my Epson Workforce 600. I have replaced all the ink cartridges with new ones for each color. Checked them all to make sure they are the correct cartridges for this printer and reinstalled them to insure they are in the correct places.

Funny thing is this: when I take them all out and install one by one to see if it recognizes each ink cartridge as installed, it will recognize the black, black and magenta, black, magenta and yellow, but when you add the blue cartidge to the mix, it can't recognize ANY of the cartridges. I have also tried to use two different brand new blue ink cartridges.

I am at a loss as this printer will not work unless ALL ink cartridges are recognized.

I have had the same issue with the Workforce 600 not recognizing the blue ink cartridge. Tried multiple ones, OEM, refills, etc... no change. Epson support said the printer needs to be replaced (of course). I'm going to take it apart and see if its a failed solder connection or contact before throwing it out. Good luck

Why doesn't my black ink work in my Epson WorkForce 600 series after replacing the black ink cartridge?

The Epson printer may only use genuine ink cartridges which contain a chip so that you cannot fill the cartridge with ink or use non genuine ink cartridges.

OR

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

Epson Workforce 600 not recognizing black toner

I had the same problem and was told by the store that sold it to me that some printer manufacturers do this on purpose as they make their most money on the ink they sell not the printer. I got rid of mine and purchased an ink jet black only printer as this is all I need anyway. A lot cheaper to use.

Epson workforce 520 won't recognise ink cartidges

When replacing ink on the Epson Workforce 520, Ensure the cartridges have the correct/same number of gold contacts. Ive seen them with 7 and 9 gold square contacts and they were otherwise identical, and the ones with 9 contacts threw an "cartridge not recognized" error on the printer's dispay.

My Epson Workforce 600 printer will not print black ink. I have changed ink cartridges several times and have cleaned the heads/nozzles several times. What can I do to fix this?

It appears that your printer is malfunctioning and will require service. Contact Epson and verify if your printer is still under warranty so they can replace it. Otherwise, have your printer check by the nearest service center in your area.

I just replaced my ink cartridges for my Epson Workforce 600 printer and the magenta and yellow colors do not print. The status shows that both are still full of ink, but when I do the nozzle check,...

Try "Nozzle cleaning" and if the problem persist, try "Deep nozzle cleaning". Try them only once or else the ink will run out very quickly.
If the ink cartridges are not genuine Epson, remove them and buy genuine cartridges. If needed, repeat the procedure with them.
Non-original consumables very often clog the printhead.
