My G Shock watch band broke and I dont know how to repair the watch I went to the watch repairer shop and they advised me that buying a new watch will be cheaper as there are no bands available in Australia.I will have to send it to Japan.Please let me know is that true or can I find a band here in Australia.

Hi, try this - it worked for me. Use a needle to poke the ends of the watch strap axel (at the end and running across the strap). This should then allow you to lit the silver panels at the top and bottom of the watch face off. The axel should then slide out. I did this by pushing one end of it through with a needle so that the other end poked out enough to pull it out with a paid of pliers.

The easiest is to bring it to Wal-Mart, or another store with a watch section in their store, if you buy a new wrist band, they;ll put it on for free. If you're feeling DIY, pull the watch band to the side, untill the metal bar inside is ejected form the slot in the watch, from there, insert the new band's bar into the slot, and voila!
