  • Anonymous Feb 24, 2008

Frigidaire, front loader washing machine (3 years old) starts to fill with water for about three seconds and then stops ... checked the soap dispenser, inlet and outlet hoses, and water pump. All seem to be OK. Any ideas on how to resolve this problem?

Firemanjim was dead on. there is a white connector on the mother board on the bottom of the cabnet. there is two sets of wires, one small and one large. the small wires connect via a small white connector. you can gain access by lifting the lid and pushing it back down. thanks fireman jim!

LOOKS LIKE WE ALL HAVE THE SAME MODEL AND SAME PROBLEM. WHAT'S THAT TELL YOU? THESE DAMN MACHINES SHOULD BE RECALLED. MY REPAIR PERSON CAME OUT AND REPLACED THE SECONDARY DOOR LOCK SWITCH. TURNED ON THE MACHINE AND OTHER CODES STARTED TO FLASH. TURNS OUT BOTH FRONT AND REAR MOTHER BOARDS BLEW. ITS NOT WORTH SPENDING THE MONEY ON THEM SINCE THEY ARE OVER $200. EACH. FRIGIDAIRE WILL HEAR ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!

Check to see if any wire is loose on the door switch, after removing the plug from the wall socket........Also check your water inlet hoses and hose filter screens. The water inlet valve on wall shd be opened well, before you begin wash.

Sounds like the timer is screwed... Sending out the wrong signals and the dryer is doing the rinse cycle when it should just be the spin cycle. Do t know what your timer looks like in that washer but most now days look like the picture. 11_11_2013_2_52_52_am.png

Frigidaire FWT647GHSO when it gets to rinse first rinse cycle, it doesn't stop filling with water. It won't agitate or spin. It works well in the wash cycle, agitates and spins and advances

probably you've got something blocking the water pump from doing its job properly so check that the water pump is free running emptying all the water if not then there is a blockage in the pump normally ist a button, paper clip or other debris out of a trouser pocket eric

My frigidaire front load washer will start a wash, complete the first cycle but then stop and flash all the lights and beep continously until I press "start" or "cancel". If I press "start" again it just...

Hello there:
If your cycle does not complete or The cycle doesn't advance
When the cycle should advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. than check the cold water supply line and the filter

Doesnot stop filling water

To javed_iqb904, does the drum actually fill or does it seem like that water is draining out as it's filling?

To neonllama19, if it fills with the tap on and the machine off, it sounds like a defective water valve. If it never stopped filling it sounds like a defective pressure switch or hose to the pressure switch is loose or diconnected.

Rinse water fills the washing machine when the spin cycle starts

Check your outlet filter, most likely it is blocked, preventing the water from draining out. Chk your pump too. Before this disconnect from the wall socket; and also check the pipe coming from the tub to the filter. Siphon out the excess water from inside the machine before you open the pipes.
