Door cracked I need to know where to buy a replacement door, also- WP Model No. MH1140XMQ our door fell apart!

Any repair on a door or door latch mechanism needs to be accompanied with a microwave leak test. So you'll have to buy a microwave leakage meter first.
I'd suggest you find an exploded parts view of the oven for a hint on how to get it back together. If it came apart on its own, though, there's a good chance something is broken in the mechanism.

The parts are available from appliance parts houses. They do sell to the general public. I did one a few months ago. I think the outside door was around $30. It is not a difficult job. Just know that you have to take the entire door apart to do the job. 20-30 minutes.

I understand that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire microwave, model# FMV156DC, and the door not latching which leaves the light on inside the appliance. If it is out of warranty, I'd just buy another. Most repairs would cost more than a replacement nowadays.

ther is only 2 causes for this. one is that the door latch has failed and the only way to repair is to get the entire door assembly. the other is a switch that is on the inide of the unit just behind the user control. i do stress that, if you pull the outer cover off to access the inner switch, you need to be very careful about what you touch, and unplug the unit. there is a capacitor inside the unit that will shock you and it does hurt. the high voltage side of your microwave is about 20,000 volts

You easily replace the door on most microwave ovens by opening the door all the way up and lifting straight up at the hinges. The door should lift off of the hinge pins. On some microwave ovens, you may have to remove the upper grill cover over the door (if equipped) to accommodate door removal.


NOTE: Some doors have a hinge pin that needs to be removed, or screws holding the door in place at the hinge.

buy a new microwave some thing else could of damaged the pcb.

There are two screws in the vent cover (grille)that goes across the top remove those and the vent cover and you will see one screw in the top of the control panel remove that one,grab the panel slide it up and pull at the top,it hinges downward toward you and will stay there till you get the wires marked and removed from the board.

Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.
