How do I download pictures from my Olympus camera to my PC? I have connected the camera to the computer using the USB cable, and this has been recognised by the camera. A box has lit up on the camera screen and I hake clicked "OK for PC". The camera screen then says "Please wait a moment" and then appears to switch off and nothing else happens. Help please.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

Have you tried just connecting the computer to your apple ... via a USB cable ? Usually, after you connect it, iPhoto will open up and provide a view of all the pictures on the digital camera's memory. You can then (on the iPhoto screen) choose to download all the pictures, or select pictures to download.
But have you considered NOT connecting the camera to the computer?

Be sure that you plug original Olympus USB cable directly into USB port on mother board (ussualy on the back side of PC) not on the front pannel hub and not into extention USB cable.
