Red or green tint on LG LCD 32" TV

Hello experts;

Bought a LG LCD flat screen 32" TV just over a year ago ( I complained to LG and Best Buy. No help. Warranty is expired.)

While watching, everything will all of a sudden turn shades of red or green. Green or red men playing football. More frequently now as time goes on. This is very annoying.

Is it simple to diagnose and change out a lamp or assembly board or something?

Thanks
Kim

Bad caps in the power supply. Replace all bad cap or replace Power Supply Module. If you choose to try and fix it yourself yourself will need a ESR Meter to check the caps in circuit. Let me know if this helps.

SOURCE: We have a 32

It can be either the T-CON board or worst case will be the LCD panel. Check some voltages on the T-CON board to make sure it has good clean 12vdc feeding it.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools, electronics knowledge, and know safety precaution then please read on:

Red tint on the screen an picture

Make sure the signal cable for the input you are using is tight. Possibly try a different cable. Especially if you are using the Red Green Blue component cables. Make sure the issue is across all inputs. If so, try adjusting settings for tint. if that doesn't help you may need to replace the TV.

Contrast really dark but seems to improve after the tv has been on several hours

Hi:
You may have a problem with the inverters in the unit, they are responsible for lighting up the back panel. Check or have checked the power supply voltage to the inverters, should be around 18-24 volts DC. Also leaky capacitors on the power supply will cause this issue as well as leaky or puffy capacitors on the inverter.

Hello! I bought a LG 32-inch LCD (32 inch )

My best advice would be to call out your LG service repair engineer, it is most likely the current software in the TV is of an older version & will need to be re-programmed which an engineer should be able to check. This should cure the menu problem.

LG 42 LCD no sound or picture

Did anyone find out the solution for this??????? I have the exact same problem with my LG 32 LCD. I only had it for a year and a half, and the green light blinks a few times and it shows no picture. Not even a red light when the tv is off. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and by some miracle it started working again.

Colorimetre HCFR software
AVC HD 709 calibration disk
Spyder2 colorimeter (I know most prefer the Eye-One meters, but the Spyder2 was available from my job at no cost)

Here are the settings:

Output Format (HDMI): Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr (important!!! NOT RGB output)
BD 1080p 24hz Output (HDMI): On (this TV can reproduce video at 48hz for accurate 2:2 pulldown)
Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr Super White (HDMI): On (not sure if this matters)

Take time to get used to the settings, you may think the screen looks dull at first. The truth is most people have way too much contrast on their TVs.
These settings will also work for Cable or Dish hookups, in which case you may change the Noise Reduction option to Medium to reduce signal noise.
