if LCD is ok, then there should be display. If u say The LCD Backlight works, then i am afraid my friend to say that LCD has crashed. This is a very usual problem with N70's. This happened to mine one too. Try to contact Nokia Priority Care to fix this problem If u like my post, Please Rate me, i really need that
like what. do u want to do it by yourself then u need some eqipments to open the cell up otherwise get it changed from market for about Rs 1100. Dont go to nokia care they will chrge you Rs 2000.. Just ask the repair person to put the noklia display not the chinese one. chinese one costs around 600
may I ask, although the display is white can you still hear a tone? Or if you restart your phone you still hear a tone.
If yes..maybe the connector that conects your lcd to the main board is lossen. it happens when the phone is accidentally drop. If you know how to open your phone, try to tighten all the screws inside and start.if nothing happens. Try to replace your lcd with a new one.

Consult your dealer for posible factory defect. ^_^
I just saay to one man. Its easy to buy a new one than to fix it.
I tried to connect to pc, updates, symbyan and java, all.
Nokia says its cost me a fortune to fix it.
I think its some program to crash it down after 1 yeaar or two years warranty.
