Was the inlet tube frozen. If so your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking and when the water reaches the freezer it freezes, blocking the inlet tube. Replace the water inlet valve.
You can Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

Ice making not making ice

Cycle the icemaker with the reset button. It is located on the bottom-front of the icemaker. Press and hold for 8 seconds to complete a cycle. You should hear an audible reset tone from the refer when complete. If it still doesn't work later in the day, it may need replaced. These units are well known for deplorable ice making capabilities. Samsung considers 60-72 cubes per day to be acceptable. I consider it an insult. For the icemaker reasons alone, I am looking into another (domestic) brand.

I have a Samsung RF265ABBP model. I just finished replacing the ice maker kit and everything works fine. I noticed Ice build up on the left side of the sliding door. It builds up on the fridge itself and...

Could be a gasket problem. But, also on those sliding doors, ice can cause them to not properly close all the way! Pull the door all the way open and check the track/rails for ANY ice. Make sure it is completely free of ice!

Error code 88 88

The 88 88 code indicates a modem communication error in the refrigerator. This error is not applicable in the U.S. It should be ignored. The control will conduct a self diagnostic check when it is powered up. When this code is encountered it will just need to be cleared and the refrigerator will resume normal operation. To clear the code, press and hold the POWER FREEZE and POWER COOL buttons simultaneously. NOTE: Be sure to press these two buttons at EXACTLY the same time -- no sound will be heard when the buttons are both pressed properly). HOLD the buttons down for about 8 to 12 deliberate seconds until the control beeps and goes blank. Leave the control in this diagnostic test mode and allow it to exit after it times out in that mode. This will take several minutes. When the test mode clears the fault code 88 88 and returns to normal operation, you should be able to set the controls on the unit and it will work normally.

\how di I remove the ice maker on a RF226

2 screws at the front of Ice maker they are screwed to ceiling of freezer. remove and then pull IM to you. try the test button under the motor of the IM before you replace. just push it and wait. should start to cycle in a few seconds. if it cycles and fills with water your ok. then give about 2 hours to see if it dumps ice. make sure your freezer temp is set to -1 or your IM may not cycle. that is a samsung thing.

I have a Samsung French door refrigerator......29 cu ft. The problem is with the icemaker (again). The first icemaker went out just after the warranty expired so I ordered one online and installed it...

I'd pack all the frozen food (and ice cubes) in a plastic bin and wrap with blankets or towels to keep frozen and let the freezer thaw. Can speed it up with a heat gun or hair dryer. There's a good chance the thaw will free up the tray and let cubes flow again.

Samsung RF265ABBP french door bottom freezer. Not making ice. In 2009 the following work done under warranty: new thermister installed, new water valve installed and icemaker replaced. Then in 1-2010 the...

No, the valve is automatically controlled by the PCB panel. You must find out if the valve is commanded by measuring the voltage across it.
If the voltage is there then the valve has failed again and it will have to be replaced. Here it is

How do you change the ice cube setting on the 25cf LG French Door bottom freezer? I cannot see anywere in the manual where it indicates where you change this setting?!

The icemaker requires a water pressure of 1.5 - 8.5kgf/cm2. It is acceptable if the water supply fills a cup of 180cc with water in 3 seconds. The icemaker produces small cubes if the water fed into it is not enough and lumped together if too much water is supplied. In order to obtain the desired size of ice cubes, the amount of water supplied to the ice maker needs to be adjusted. Adjust the valve supplying water to the icemaker or the unit in general in such a way that right amount of water fills the ice tray.
