Check the card with another computer or using the camorra with card inserted.
This lets us know the card is working and will store information.
If the card checks ok, then go to the Laptop and look in the device manager for flags, while camorra is hooked up and turned on.
If you find flags, remove them and reload drivers.

I want to learn how to upload pictures from my Cannon Powershot A95 to my Laptop - Toshiba Satellite M45 S331. Does the laptop have a built in card reader?

Hi

Does your laptop have a slot on the front or side of it that is the same size as your card

if so insert your card into the slot and see if it comes up with a box giving you the option to view

if it does you can view it with windows explorer then highlight everything you want and either drag it into a folder that you open on you laptop or drag them into your pictures that will be in your documents

or you can highlight them all then right click and send to where ever you choose

if windows does not reconize the card reader then go to the website of the laptop www.toshiba.com and go to support/downloads and search for the card reader driver and download it making sure that you get the right one for your make model and operating system

good luck

also the cannon camera propably has software with it so that you can load it onto the laptop and upload the pictures that way

Where is the slot for the SIM Card?

It has no SIM card slot. It has a Card Bus slot if that is what you are referring to.

Place for a memory card from digital camera to

It does not appear that this laptop has a media slot for you to put your memory card into. So you can use the USB cable that came with the camera - but I find that it is always very slow, and uses up the camera's battery pretty quick.

So you may be better off getting a USB media reader. you'd remove the memory card from the camera, put it into the slot in the reader, and plug the reader into a USB port. In My Computer you'd see a new drive pop up, and you could click on the DCIM folder, and then the 100XXXXX (where XXXXX is the name brand of the camera, or some portion of it) folder, and you can then cut and paste your pictures to the computer. If you Cut instead of Copy, it deletes the pictures from the media, so that when you put it back in the camera, it is blank and ready to take more pics.
