Usually almost always its in the valve
It could be a faulty water inlet valve, but it could also be a blocked tube between the tub, and the water level pressure switch, because over time, this can become blocked, and affect how much water enters the machine.
An easy test is to put the machine on a fill cycle and then turn of the mains power to the machine as the machine begins to fill; if the machine continues to fill, it is probably the water valve; if not, check the tube from the tub to the pressure switch.
I hope this helps?

it is most likely your machine may have a draining problem. if it cant drain the water out the door wont open. if you open the small door at the front bottom of the machine you will find the little black drain hose. unplug the hose off the door and drain machine. when the machine is empty try powering on and opening the door. if still no luck you will see (in the same location) a red pull ring. undo the screw holding the ring in position and gently pull until the door releases. it would be worth undoing the button trap lid to access the pump and check for any blockages (most common coins **** pins etc) let me know how you get on.

You just have to replace the inlet valve, can do it yourself.

As per my email reply chazmano5, the problem is likely to be the water pump/motor assy.
They have a very common fault of the impeller breaking on the motor shaft. The motor still spins, but the impeller doesn't, so there is no water being pumped.
The machine senses there is no water pressure and shuts down, displaying E1 (eg: it thinks no water pressure means there must be a water leak) Unfortunately the motor/impeller is only available as a complete assembly.

Verify that water is getting to the valve and verify that 110 volts is getting to the valve. If either one is missing then you know what the problem is. If you have both then replace the valve.

Hi, 2 things to check for. Obstruction in the drain pump or faulty drain pump, brushes in the motor worn out. The easiest way to determine the pump issue is answer this question. Does it drain ? Next, turn the timer to the drain/spin cycle, obviously it should drain & spin and advance to "off". The next thing with these 10505 asko is to see if the drum rotates in both directions in the wash/agitate portion of the cycle. You can just select the short wash for this (I forget if it's #4 or #5) If not, it's worn brushes. However, you'll have to make sure the armature isn't damaged before simply installimg new brushes. We can cross that bridge when we get there. Let me know. Hope that helps, though those are just the most common problems there could be others. Good Luck
