Have replaced ice maker and dual water dispenser/ice maker water valve. Checked water fill tube and it is clear, tried resetting ice maker turn off for 15 secs. and back on, then move arm 3 times, have waited 48 hours after installing new ice maker and valve. Tried with new filter and no filter (using plug). Water dispenses just fine. Any more ideas??

About every two hours you should hear the ice maker cycle. The easiest way to check is to turn the ice maker off using the arm up in the off position. After a few hours open the door lower the arm and observe. The plastic fingers should advance ejecting the ice into the tub. A few swconds after the ejection you can hear the valve and should hear the water fill the tray. If no advance with the ice maker than ice maker, warm temperature, or wiring. If no solenoid sound (ice maker ejector rotates)than electrical or solenoid valve. Solenoid valve and no water - frozen fill hose, blocked hose or unlikely but possible faulty solenoid valve. If you can hear the valve it should pass water!!
If the ice maker doesent cycle CK the temp of the freezer! Must be cold enough for ice maker to work. zero or colder will work for sure and 0 or so is the right temp for freezer. Above 20 don't think it will cycle and would be an indication low freon or bad compressor in unit.

If your water valve is good and your filter is not in need of replacing then you probable need a new icemaker, yes.
SOURCE: Water Supply Line for Ice maker and Water dispenser is leaking.
Hi, The fitting either needs tightened or changed. Is this a brass or plastic fitting?
If the supply line is still ok and not brittle, you can go to your local hardware store and get the new fitting parts. If it is brass, be sure and get the brass insert that goes inside the tubing as well as the compression ring.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

SOURCE: water dispenser not working ice maker is fine
The refrigerator has a dual water valve. The water dispenser side of the valve may be defective, but, my experience has shown the problem to be in the water reservoir, located in the bottom of the fresh food section, which, might be frozen or the water line through the freezer door is frozen. Scenario #1: Remove the kick panel, disconnect the water line from the fitting. Have someone depress the water actuator, while, holding a cup to collect any water which may come through the line. If water comes through the tube. The problem is a frozen water line in the door. My best advice for this problem is to remove any frozen goods from the door. Take a piece of cardboard and seal the freezer section of the refrigerator with any kind of tape. Make sure you tape the door switch in the closed position, so, the refrigerator will continue it's normal operation. The frozen goods will remain frozen and the fresh food section will be okay. Leave the freezer door open. You might want to put a towel under the door. The water line will thaw. It might take 15 minutes. It might take 3 hours. Periodically check the water dispenser operation. When the water flows remove the cardboard. Scenario # 2:if, after disconnecting the water line and depressing the water actuator there is not water. The reservoir is frozen. Use a hair dryer to that the reservoir. You will have to remove at least a couple of crisper drawers to perform this action. The cause of a reservoir freeze is too little stuff in the drawers or too low a temp in the crisper drawer area.

Hi,
If the ice maker no longer make ice, check the following.
Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned
off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the
ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the
raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply
lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on.
On others,
you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is
in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be
between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the
ice maker may not produce any ice.
Check your door seals and thermostat,
repair/replace as necessary.
Thanks
