Hello jtracer,

Here's a link to the Kenwood manual at Crutchfield.

Here's a link to the color code for the 2000 Dodge Durango.

If you are splicing directly into the vehicle wiring, just match up the wires from your Kenwood to the appropriate vehicle wire by function, not color. If you are using an aftermarket vehicle specific wiring harness, such as the Metra 70-1817, the colors should match up with the Kenwood wires.

Hope this helps.

I am hooking up a remote start on a 99 Chevy Astro & can not find a tach wire.

Hey I'm not an expert at remote starts I've only hooked up one in my life I have two of them one in my Durango & one in my Dakota Dakota was installed by best buy & Durango was installed by pc richards I'm not positive but I think tach wires are the same color on all remote starts and mine are purple the tach wire on the Durango is hooked to the #3 fuel injector wires & the Dakota wire is hooked to the coil but the tach wire is purple look back at installation directions you might have a defective remote start unit remember I said I'm not an expert I'm just going. By what I have I really hope this helped you oh by the way the van has an automatic tranny right? Good luck

I have a 2000 Kia Sephia. that will start and then die. New starter, alternator and battery. Any thoughts?

well if it is cranking its not starter or battery . maybe check to see if fuel pump is working .check fuses. you should be able to hear pump run for a few second . if pump working maybe fuel filter or sensor like throttle position ,air idle sensor. make sure all wires are hooked up on alternator & starter . no vacuum hoses off any where . is check engine light on ?

How do i hook up a wiring harnes for a trailer on a 2000 dodge durango?

Are you installing a flat 4, or other connector? Before we go too much further, I can tell you how to splice wires to what etc, but are you aware that they sell an adapter plug, that you just plug in to your current wiring harness, like a "T" shape, and simply plug your trailer into it? Sure makes it easy, as well as removable if you want to remove it after.

Dodge durango 2001 going nuts

I installed an aftermarket trailer wire harness and hooked it up to a boat that was not grounded or made a bad circuit. This resulted in a very strange electrical failure to the point the vehicle shut down and I had to disconnect the trailer harness and restart. I also washed my engine once and somehow spayed water through the firewall into the ecm on the drivers side kick panel... Again strange electrical problems occurred, this could be identified by the loss of the keyless entry

Leak from transmission at sensor plug on trans bottom 1998 dodge durango

Pull the sensor see if oil pours out if not then buy a tube of blue lock tite from a auto parts store and add a few drops to the sensor screw in and let it set up then hook up it should then not leak anymore.
