Turns off after a few minutes

My clothes dryer runs for a while, then shuts off, generally if I wait an hour it will start again but doesn't run long enough to dry the clothes. Kenmore 11070902990 gas dryer runs for a while, then shuts off. I set it for the cycle and push start and it starts and runs for maybe 10 minutes then shuts completely off. Then if I wait about 1 hour I can push start and it will start and work properly again, but 10 minutes goes by and it will stop again. Sometimes I try to push start and the motor just buzzes and sometimes it will start.

Sounds like your motor is overheating or going bad. sometimes lint built up around the motor can cause it to overheat. or the motor is dying.

My Fisher and Paykel Model DE60F-US1 dryer will start and run until it heats up, and then it shuts off after a few minutes before drying the clothes. Any ideas?

u may have a bad motor windings problem, usually will rund for about 25 minutes to an hour then shut off, wait an hour and can run again then shuts off ? also check ur venting inside machine and to the wall a build up can cause it to overheat and then shut down? u may have to remove cabinet to see inside condition? which thermostats did u change, u may have bad hi-lo limit and cycleling thermostat

It could be a timer problem. The dryer timing device may need to be replaced.

sounds like the motor is over heating i would try lessining the tension on the belt

I have a kemore gas dryer and i turn it on it runs for a few minutes then it shut off then it wont start back. i wait a few minutes then it fire rite back up and it keeps on doing this over and over again.

Motor going bad and shutting off on overload. After cooling down dryer starts again and repeats process. Change motor. Good luck

Dryer won't stay running, shuts off after a few minutes.

Maybe the timer or wires not hooked up right or motor if u hear like a buzzing sound when u push start it's the motor
