If your truck has bose the you probably blew the bose amp and will need to bypass it now to prevent speakers from making noise.
you will need to rewire inputs and outputs at the amp/ or just use all new speaker wire to all the speakers from your stereo directly and forget about factory stuff. You should be able to wiring for the radio circuits from The Mitchel on demand at partsource or i can email them to you. There is a wire kit that should have been used to install the alpine, no sense in worrying about that now but, at least now you know what happens when you don't use the right parts. I Hope this helps.
if the adaptor you used had rca hookups in it then you will have to hook up the wires from the deck and run them to the amp. the Bose amp should be under center console towards the back by the armrest.
did you hookit up with the RCA or did you hookup using the speaker wires
using the speaker wires hookup to the RCA inputs will put to much power to the amp eventually the amp will give in and start to short out or (distort) if ever your speakers start to distort or crackle with the power then its the amp and not speakers that is distorting. It could have worked perfect until the one song that had the wrong frequency and went past the limit of the amp. Then boom. dead amp.

Usually answered in minutes!
so how exactly do i bypass that without rewiring the truck and i had a feeling it was the amp. crap.
i did use a box to hook up the new stereo, maybe that burnt out?
i used an inline box to connect the headunit, could that possibly be burnt out already? i should rewire. but that is a pain! where is the factory amp located? i should be able to resplice and cut it out of the picture without rewiring the whole truck
i do remember having the choice of using RCAs or wires when installing that adapater, but why wouldnt it make these noises from the start? btw you are a tremendous help! but should i start with removing the amp out of the equasion before i rewire the RCA's?
so dont use the preouts of the headuint, wire speaker wires together. im at work so i cant look at it right now, thanks for the info guys, let me find some time to pull the stereo out and i will let you know what all i come up with.
ok im back, i have a few things i want to clarify.
1. should i remove the factory amp?
2. should i rewire the adapter from RCA to speaker wires?
3. its the rear only speakers that crackle, possibly the rear channel of the amp is bad? or rear side of the adapter?
