Needing to remove lid from our top load LG washer. Model #WT7100CW. There are no screws along the side or access doors to conveniently get to screws like many of the other models I’ve seen. This washer is less than a longer old. Thanks!

Most top load washers have snap clips in front and hinges in back. You use a putty knife or equivalent to push in the clips(located between top and front of unit in the seem). Some others have screws on bottom near the legs that you unscrew and tilt front forward and then lift up and off. Good luck.

SOURCE: replacing lid switch

someone, Im not finding that model number. Going by the first six digits Im assuming that this is a regular top loader and not an Oasis washer. If so, remove the end caps on the consol by pulling them off. Remove the screws under each end cap and flip the consol up. Unplug the lid switch connector and snap springs holding the cabinet on. The whole cabinet will pull forward and you can get at the lid switch. Check out the pics and post back...Catriver.

SOURCE: Remove lid of top loading washing machine Kenmore 110.92575110

Remove 2 screws that hold the console in place. Most are at the rear corners of the console. Pull console forward and up and tilt back. There are 2 brass clips holding the cabinet in place. then the cabinet can be removed by tilting forward and away from base. there is no reason to remove the lid.

Maytag neptune washer

what is your model number? If this is a front load neptune, you first will have to removed the four screws around the soap dispencer. Then you have to remove the two screws, to remove the door. Then the two screws on the opposite side of the door hinges. The front panel wil come forward. There are two 5/16 hex head screws, one on each side to remove. Some have brackets you take out, some don't. the lid should then come up

What is the easiest way to get the front panel off of my LG front load washer to replace the large rubber drum gasket which ripped? Is it screwed on or pressure fit?

It can be changed out without removing the front panel. There are special tools designed to remove and re-install the spring clamps which hold the gasket on, but you can do it with long nose pliers or other implements. It is more difficult to do with the panel on, but it can be done. If you want to remove the front panel: Remove bottom screws from plastic parts on the back edge of the washer top. Stand in front of machine and use the palms of your hands to sparply push back the washer's top about 2 inches, then lift it off. Remove screws from support frame to control panel. Remove dispenser drawer by opening it and pushing the tab on the top back side down while pulling the dispenser the remaining way out. Remove screws from behind dispenser drawer. Release tabs along the top edge of the control panel (watch out for sharp edges) and swing the control panel up on top of the washer drum. Remove spring clamp from front of rubber door gasket. Open access door panel on lower left of front panel. Use small hose to drain out remaining water. Remove phillips head screw in recess, then use plastic putty knife to push inward on the left or right edge of rectangular housing around the recess to remove recess. Remove screws at bottom from bottom of front panel into frame (located behind plastic recess) Remove screws along top edge of front panel. Tilt front panel forward and unplug door switch. Set front panel to the side.

Washing machine filled with water and then stopped mid-cycle. This happened before and the repairman said it is a door switch. He removed the lid and in 5 mins moved something at the back of the machine....

the lid switch for you model is located inside the cabinet of your washer. you should be able to access it by removing the front panel. by inserting a putty knife or similar tool on the left and right side along the seam of the cabinet. you should be able to feel two small clips that hold it in place. lift up SLIGHTLY on these clips and remove one side at a time. once you have done this you may need to release the top as well, held in by two 3/8 hex screws. the lid switch is on the right. and is held in by two phillips screws and a wiring connection as well remove the two screws and the connection and replace it with a 3355458 lid switch. hope this was a help to you

Thanks

Need to replace roller's on LG Tromm Gas front load dryer. The back seems to be stamped to the side panels. How do you take apart the dryer to get at the inner workings?

Unplug power cord. Remove phillips head screws on the bottom side of the "L" bracket on the back side of the dryer's top. Use the flat sides of your hands to sharply push back on the dryer's top, sliding it back about 2 inches and then lifting it off. Remove screw from top corner front corners and pry control locking tabs off from along top edge. (watch for sharp edges) Swing control panel up onto top of dryer. Remove the two screws at the bottom side of the door opening and the four screws along the top of the front panel. Unplug the light, door switch, and also the moisture sensor (by the bottom of the drum) then remove front panel. Remove four screws holding front drum support and lift up on it a bit to remove. Look at how the belt goes around the motor and pulley before removing, then take out drum. You will need to remove the phillips screws from behind dryer to remove the rear drum support assembly, allowing you to get to the nuts on the back rollers. First time job: maybe 2 hours. Second time: maybe a half hour, tops.
