I HAVE A LG 50PXD1 MODEL AND I have picture and sound, but the picture is very dim. I can still use it but have to close all the blinds to see the screen. any ideas?

Look very closely at the screen - is it charged? dimly lit? or not lit at all? I would check voltages on power supply if that is good check the AV mainboard - that could be the case in this LG -
