I have a 4-5 year old Mitsubishi WD 62725 that other than replacing the lamp about annually, has worked very well. That has changed; I started getting a lot of streaks accross the tv when it first came on. Then progressivley, the streaks stayed even after warming up. They weren't real bad, but I noticed them. Thought I was having issues with my DVR and changed that first, then thought it was a lamp issue and put a new lamp in the set. After doing this, the red lamp light stayed on and the set would not come on.....Therfore, I assumed the next step was the ballast and I replaced it. I still do not have a picture, but it does seem like it wants to come on as the screen turns a very dim blue/green tint until the lamp light comes back on after about two minutes and shuts everything down. Could the set need reseting? Any thoughts are appreciated!
SOURCE: ballast replacement
Your set uses the Phillips UPH100W 1.3 100http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/ 1amp bulb part number 6912V00006A which uses Ballast EUC 6913V0002A and the actual ballast isMB03CA part number 6871VSMB13F I would contact LG and give them these numbers. Is your ballast bad or is the BallastEUC bad? Let me know if I can help you further.
SOURCE: Cant find a ballast
The ballast is actually a switch mode power supply that powers the lamp. It is an
integral part of the light engine and is not replaceable. The light engine has a price
tag of $950. If you replaced the lamp with an after market one and not the Toshiba
lamp you can experience the same problem. Some of the after market lamps will
not fire at the same voltage as the Toshiba. The blue led will come on solid and the
yellow blinking. It will try to start 8 times then give up.

Could be the FMT pcb or the Dm pcb board you should check the caps on them and replace any faulty ones.

I found R3 on the original board to be open, along with reading an open on CR1, D5 and D6. All the other transistors and the transformer check out. The only thing I have to do now is find out the specs of the diodes. The replacement board also had CR1, D5 and D6 open (R3 was OK). There had been some threads on various locations where remanufactured boards had bad components (the transistors were changed but not some of the other components).
SOURCE: Ballast UART Error
Same thing happened to me. After one minute of running, lamp shuts off and 5 power led blinks and 3 ready led blinks, indicate UART ballast error. Well, I purchased a new lamp, and installed it, and the problem was gone. I looked closely at my old lamp, and it showed a little blister inside, and a tiny spot of white residue, perhaps it was the whole problem there, although I don
