Picture turns to shades of greens except the reds. doesn't happen all the time but more often lately.

If your picture looks green on all inputs and it slowly degraded, then you have an optical block problem. not repairable.

Sounds like poor connections on the tube bases.
Check by gentle tapping on the PCBoards with a plastic pencil shaped rod to avoid damage.

unplug your TV look on the back for a three controls marked red / blue / green "screen" turn / tap on them; watch the screen when you find the "dirty" control clean it with "TV tuner cleaner spray"

When your picture has a green shade to it when connected through component video cables(red,blue,green) that indicates that you have the red and blue switched around at one end, since you have a picture, that indicates that the green cable is hooked up correctly, if the picture color isn't corrected after you make the switch, then make sure you don't have a bad cable.(it happens more often than you think) Good luck !

Your green gun in our tv is misagligned/out of focus. Your tv uses red, green and blue guns that layer in different shades and mix to create the different colors. Your green is a little off so the colors aren't mixing right which explains the green haze and the shadows. A tv repair man can fix this problem pretty easily and it isnt expenisve.

If you are using plain paper it happens due to ink density and absorption factors of paper.

Sounds like the green tube is shot, tap on the green board see if theres a loose connection, with something hard plastic

Hi, I`m assuming your saying the letters on the screen have different colors (red, blue, or green) shifted to the left or right?
If so try going into the menu and adjusting your "convergence"
adjustments, basically, move the red onto the green then move the blue onto the green and the bar turns white, if one or more of the colors doesn`t adjust either up/down or left/right then the convergence IC`s have failed, this will require removal of the board and unsoldering the old IC`s and installing and soldering in the new IC`s, questions? e-mail me back, BMW Rider

This is because the RGB filters in the camera are not perfect, and there is no one "green" colour. The green pixels pick up a wide band of colours, and are somewhat sensitive even to red and blue, especially near where green shades into red.
