My daughter got hold of my fone and now silent mode been activated cant iturn it off
I let my friend hold it and now im struggling to get silent mode off

Hi everyone, all you have to do is press the pound sign(#) on your phone and hold it down for a few seconds and it will say "Exit Silent Mode". You can check in the upper right corner of your phone and you will see the the 8th note symbol, instead of the 'vibrate symbol'.

On the new cricket msgm8 phone if stuck in etiquette mode just hold the message button(bottom right key)down for a few seconds and it will deactivate it.

How do turn off silent mode
Ok i had the same problem. But i seen that where it said "silent mode" on your back round, it had stars (*) so i pressed on the star and then i started to vibrate and then i pressed again and silent mode went off !

Thank You!!! I slept on my phone last night and the was no 'silent mode' anywhere in settings or utilities to turn it off and I was scared I wouldn't be able to get out of silent mode for my alarm to go off for work tomorrow. Can't believe I just had to hold the # key. Awesome.
I have the red sliding MetroPCS phone too. I was freakin out. I thought I broke it or something and I was looking EVERYWHERE for a silent mode-off setting!

The # key just asks for a password.
Press the '#' sign and it will go away...

I am presently using a friends A720 phone. It was on silent mode and would not ring...only vibrate. I tried holding the * key for a couple seconds...just long enough for it to exit silent mode.
