These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Counting of number of blinks to Philips TVs is entirely different to that of other brand TVs. It is not a direct count procedure. The site have details about how to count the number of LED blinks [Fault Codes] to Philips brand TVs are given; along with details of the faulty circuit location.

TV needs lamp replacement as existing lamp got weak or has been reached to end of its working life, please note that lamp is not dead or broken so that is why lamp lit is not lit at tv front.

THE click is the relay on the power board coming on and then going off---red power light should blink a error code---when set shuts off (second click) watch the power light and count the blinks.

The blinking and clicking are most likely caused by shorted capacitors on the power supply board. If you can take a few pictures of the board and email them to me at [email protected] along with the model of your monitor we should be able to help you get it
